Re: Lethal Weapon (FOX) -- Season 2 Thread -- Premieres 9/26/17

This is what she wrote:

Ok @ClayneCrawford you know I have nothing but respect & admiration for your talent. But are you really going to let us catch all this heat KNOWING how unkind you were to some of our crew members or directors ?The outbursts, profanity, saying you hoped the show was cancelled etc?
For some reason I still see the link on my Ipad even though it’s been removed from her timeline.

This is from Michelle Mitchenor, who plays Detective Bailey.

She either changed her mind or someone from the studio saw it and told her to keep a lid on it.

Clayne and Damon in happier times. This interview happened to come across my YouTube feed. It was them being interviewed on ITV in the UK to promote the show back in May 2017 after they wrapped the 1st season. They seemed very pleasant together.

Thanks for posting that.
Any idea on what the mention of Lance Henriksen was about?

Wayans said that Crawford hit Lance with a bottle of tea. Then went on to play the "race card" by adding "and he's white!" In another deleted tweet by Wayans, he told fans that if they didn't believe him, they could "kiss his behind." The next tweet after that was the one where he "quit" Twitter.

Did Lance even appear on the show? Sorry, I'm behind on the 2nd season. His IMDB doesn't mention Lethal Weapon.

Yeah. I remember reading something in that rambling mess of a twitter post Wayans posted about a tea bottle and Lances jaw. Then Wayans bringing race into it, and telling people to kiss his ass. I just dont know where this alleged tea bottle incident took place, as I dont remember Lance ever being on Lethal Weapon and Wayans was short on details, surprisingly enough. A google search for the "incident" yields results that all point back to Wayans racist post about the "issue".

As far as I know, Lance has not been on the show - but perhaps he was on set that day or Wayans just tagged the wrong actor - who knows?

If the first bit, Damon definitely seems like the idiot. His injury was superficial at best. Take off your baby shoes and do your job. If you act like a p---- and get called a p---- suck it up and move on.

Read the Variety article where that video originated from. Really well written and reported account of the disaster the Lethal Weapon set became.

https://variety.com/2018/tv/news/let...eo-1202822990/

The pool scene that Clayne lost it on, I thought he went a little overboard on that. I get that actors need to be focused, but there are better ways to handle that and his profanity tirade was unprofessional.

Man, they both sound like Major Payne in the asses

Seriously though, WB should have just cut their losses and ended the show. What a mess.

For those who didn't read it, the article also explains the Lance Henriksen story (he was in an episode but was replaced).

Re: Lethal Weapon (FOX) -- Season 2 Thread -- Premieres 9/26/17

I don’t know...that article makes it sound like divisions on set were based on loyalties mostly to DW. They spend a good amount of time talking about a director who had a lot of history with him too.

I’m not saying a public profanity tirade is okay, but it sounds like a terrible work environment and after resetting a take for the entire day, Crawford snapped.

I’ll be curious to see if antics continue with SWS, but it mostly sounds like DW is the diva.

Re: Lethal Weapon (FOX) -- Season 2 Thread -- Premieres 9/26/17

Finally watched the finale. It was a really good episode and a nice bookend to the season.

Now you’re telling me Fox and WB couldn’t have figured out a solution before it aired? Cut off the end and show a truck driving east! Problem solved; series finished.

I hope they at least say Riggs is in a comma and give the possibility of a return. The show was a lot of fun, and the actors all had good chemistry. If not they’ll pull what that Kevin show did and kill the wife off screen and be cancelled after on more season.

I think they already had a pretty good idea that Crawford was going to get fired so they killed him off. They'll verify in next season's first episode that Riggs is dead.

The studio buckled to Wayans' whining and there is no way they would make him unhappy again by bringing Crawford back.

Since when is Damon Wayans an A List who can demand staff changes? He's just as replaceable, IMO.

I follow Keesha Sharp on social media, who plays Trish, and she never talks about her co-star (Wayans) at all. Not even a friendly shout out or anything. Seems to me they have a strictly on camera professional relationship and nothing else.

Re: Lethal Weapon (FOX) -- Season 2 Thread -- Premieres 9/26/17

Details on the replacement character:
We are finding out more details about the new co-lead character on Fox’s cop series Lethal Weapon, that will be played by Seann William Scott. His name is Wesley Cole, he is a war veteran and a father. Former Psych star Maggie Lawson has been tapped to play his ex and mother of his child in a recurring tole on the upcoming third season of the show, from Warner Bros. TV.

Lawson will be playing Natalie Flynn, an emergency room surgeon and Wesley Cole’s (Scott) ex-girlfriend. The two met in an active war zone years earlier (where Natalie served as a medic) and had a brief romance that resulted in a child. Over a decade later, Cole is once again a regular in Natalie’s ER — he’s moved to Los Angeles to get closer to both her and their kid.

Well so much for the rumors he was going to be Riggs brother.

I bet Murtagh will pass on the captain position to be able to track down whoever shot Riggs.

Interestingly, I wonder if this makes Lethal Weapon a code name for unstable police detective, ala the eternal debate in 007 circles.

The studio obviously backed him over Crawford. They seem to tolerate his diva behavior on set. I don't think he's an A-lister either, but they seem to.
