I sort of suspected his dad wasn't dead when they showed us those flashbacks. Nice to see I was right.

I thought the dual showndown in the house and car at the same time was done really well. I do however doubt that the truck would hold up that much though.

I literally said out loud oh shit! when they revealed his father. At first I thought Molly called them off but I am glad I was wrong because her and Riggs are awesome. It will be interesting to see what happens when Hilarie Burton’s character is reintroduced on the show.

The biggest giveaway was who they cast as his dad. Pretty well known character tv actor. No way his job was one and done on the show.

Anyway, sad, but we’re on a 3 week break.

Even though the premiere was a little disappointing for me, this season has been firing on all cylinders! Can't wait for it to be back!

Not a great episode this week, but hearing Getz say the clown stuff as a nod to Pesci was great.

Really well balanced and fun episode this week! Only thing I didn’t care for were Roger’s antics at the park. The slide bit was funny and a good setup, but the moon bounce was just goofy in a bad way. Oddly all the “heroic” items came of as just believable enough and weren’t over play...well except maybe the kitten part.
Swoosie Kurtz’s* character turned out to a fun pairing with Riggs, and made him be a bit more introspective. I’m willing to bet just as soon as he starts to make some progress, the end of the season will see his father show up with a twist as the cliffhanger.
* I oddly felt like Swoosie was familiar, as I recognized her and the name in the credits, but after looking at IMDB I have now clue what I actually know her from!
I was surprised by how the episode ended with the Trish and Roger situation. Should be interesting to see where that goes, although you’d think she would have had more of a reaction to the Christmas episode.

I recognize her from multiple shows, Pushing Daisies, Mike & Molly, Man With A Plan, and I knew of but never watched her first big claim to fame, being on the show Sisters for 127 episodes. Prior to Sisters it looks like she had a medium sized 44 episode run on a show called Love, Sidney that I have never heard of. At first I thought I recognized her from another show I did not watch, Thirtysomething, but nope Sisters was the show.

Looks like Crawford’s behavior has the show in jeopardy of being canceled

Wow. Never knew of him before this show but that's too bad to hear. Hope he doesn't think he's too big a star as a justification for the attitude. For Wayne's sake, I hope it gets renewed. Love having him on TV again.

Wow that would suck. Hate actors who get a big break and then act like they are untouchable.

Someone posted on DEADLINE that they've worked on the show and Clayne is great, but he and Wayans do NOT get along. The suspicion is that Wayans' people leaked this story. If true, that's pretty sad.

That is certainly possible. It would seem though, that Wayans had been in the industry long enough to know that a hit show is sort of lightning in a bottle and wouldn't want to rock the boat to mess with a good thing.

I hope they straighten this out.
Recasting is a suicide move. Better to cancel than to re-cast.

Hit show? It’s fractional. It was a hit for maybe a few weeks.

Hit is relative. It is successfu enough to warrant renewals. In my mind, that is a hit. Hardly any shows in today's television climate would be considered a hit if you look at the numbers and expect them to be what they were 10 to 20 years ago.

I remember Outsourced averaged a 2.1 for the season, that would be an instant renewal these days

Lethal Weapon would be the easy choice to cancel, IMO.

Ausiello had this blind item last week that he revealed is about Lethal Weapon:
♦ BLIND ITEM: An hour-long drama series listed as a “safe bet” on our 2018 Renewal Scorecard is on the verge of getting downgraded to “could go either way” — and the potential status change is not the result of any kind of ratings downturn. Rather, it’s due to an increasingly untenable “personnel problem,” per a source. Turns out one of the series’ leads has become impossible to work with, and his massively disruptive behavioral issues are causing the network/studio to rethink bringing the series back.

I saw another article about the same claim, citing Clayne Crawford as the offending cast member. Here is a small excerpt:
https://www.tvfanatic.com/2018/04/le...e-crawfords-b/
It's difficult to assess the situation without knowing the facts really, but multiple fans took to Clayne's official Instagram account.
"Quit being a dick to your cast and crew. You have a wonderful job," said one fan.
"Been a longtime fan and disappointed to hear you may get your show axed and cost people jobs. If you need help, please seek it. Wishing you the best."
Clayne responded to the above message to refute the claims, saying he had no idea what was going on.
"This article comes as a shock," he said, before adding, "I love each and every cast and crew member - and this is a great job. I would never jeopardize that for anyone. Actively exploring it's origin."

Here's the quote, which Crawford responded to on Instagram:

I guess Keesha Sharp wasn't one of those who felt "threatened" by Crawford.
She wished him a Happy B-Day and called him her "friend"

Re: Lethal Weapon (FOX) -- Season 2 Thread -- Premieres 9/26/17
Curiouser and curiouser...someone has an ax to grind on the show. Is it possible that Wayons felt that Clayne was getting all the good story lines on the show and is feeling a bit wounded in the ego department?
Claynes' character gets some nice scenes with guests like Swoosie Kurtz, his on again/off again girlfriend Molly, the fed played by Hilarie Burton, Jordana Brewster's shrink, and others. Maybe Wayons feels he should be given some more interesting stuff to do on the show as he being given the short shrift by the writers room and I feel that he might be right about that but is going about things the wrong way.
ETA: Clayne Crawford has responded to the story of his behavior by releasing a small piece of info on at least two incidents that caused him to be reprimanded. I hit up a Variety link that posted a story on his reply to the news that his behavior threatened the future of the show.
Wayons seems to be in the clear here...but I still have noticed that he seems to get overshadowed by whatever Clayne gets to do in an episode so hopefully his character will have more chances to shine.
