Re: The Walking Dead (S7E06) -- "Swear" -- 11/27/16
Throughout this episode I kept thinking just how much those that hate these characters stories were having to suffer through yet another one. But at the same time I now also kind of understand where at least some of them are coming from. I can't stand Tara so this episode was a chore to get through. Overall I still enjoy these far more than giving each character/story only five minutes each episode.

I think there should be a meme gif of that zombie with dreads. "You thought I was Heath? Raaaaaaaacciiissst!"

BTW, anyone else notice that once again we see a walker getting killed by a stab through the throat? Is this a thing now?

Yes. But I had I not read the complaint here I'm not sure I would have noticed. Unlike the other example this one was clearly just through the throat.

Re: The Walking Dead (S7E06) -- "Swear" -- 11/27/16
Interesting too that most of the walkers seen in the show now seem to be recent conversions...or am I imagining that? Meaning most of the original apocalypse victims aren't doing much walking any more. Seems that has led to a very dramatic reduction in the peskiness originating from actual walkers.
Rarely are the walkers a problem any more, unless they are placed intentionally by the living. But that is probably how it would actually go if this was a real thing. I imagine that this trend will likely continue as the show does. It is hard to imagine a sudden onslaught of walkers entering their universe unless they at minimum move off to another location. I understand that was always the gist of the show (the real danger is...MAN!), but it has become much more apparent. It is a standard show with occasional zombie punching bag gore SFX breaks that rarely have anything to do with the actual plot. Take any show on TV and have the characters randomly run outside and stick a screwdriver into a couple of corpse's heads and then run back inside to finish the scene and you have the same show. |
Re: The Walking Dead (S7E06) -- "Swear" -- 11/27/16
I was thinking that many of fresher walkers could be those being done in by Negan's group as they move around the area. Like all them males done in at Oceanside. I was also wondering larger masses of walkers not being collected by Negan's group into a few strategic areas to be used when needed.
The arsenal and food supply at Oceanside is sure to come up later even if most of those women are not personal involved in taking on Negan. |

After this episode (which very well might be the worst WD episode ever) I've officially joined the camp that hates these segmented episodes.
Episode summary: Good: Watching Milk Jugs run through the forest. Bad: Everything else. |

I thought this was the best episode of the season so far.

It's the burning zombie argument all over again ...

Re: The Walking Dead (S7E06) -- "Swear" -- 11/27/16
I am confused, so maybe I missed something. Were they going to take Tara out to the woods and kill her? It seemed like they were going to let her go but then she goes off running like they would kill her.

That's not what happened. As soon as she told them she had a community of her own and did not want to join them is when they decided to kill her but act like they were letting her go. Telling them she thought they took out Negan's crew might have had something to do with the decision also.

Hmm. I totally missed how they were going to shoot Tara. Our loss she survived, I guess.
And why still don't know what happened to the red shirt/black guy, right? Maybe he found another group ... |

I'm guessing Heath will return if the new 24 isn't a success and ends up being only a single season.
