I laughed way more than I should have at Richard slamming his head into the table

Gilfoyle: That was bad-ass... until it wasn't.

Good episode. That was fucked up - look real as hell.

I like when Erlich started coughing while bonging and everyone is talking over him as he's hacking his guts out. It reminded me of Cheech & Chong's Next Movie when Chong starts hacking up a lung between hits.

I've laughed so hard at these last two episodes. I can't remember immediately rewinding bits so many times. I probably watched the desk fall 3 times and I must have watched Jared's final chain joke last episode 5 times.

I thought the desk fall felt forced and dumb. The coughing bit however cracked me up, especially how it just kept going, and it didn't feel as forced (I've smoked enough pot to relate, I guess...).

Man, I really thought there was going to be more to that plan than what happened. They sometimes have the characters suddenly become really dumb when it suits the joke or plot, which takes me out of the moment a little.

But I loved the part where they couldn't just do the minimum for the box and ended up blowing away the competition, thereby screwing themselves in the process. That is such an engineer thing to do.

I had to see how that was done so I slow-mo'd thru it. It happens so fast and the sound effect really sells it. But Richard (Middleditch) catches his chest with his left hand between the desk so quickly it's hard to see that his face doesn't even hit the surface. Pretty impressive considering that in one take he had to deliver lines, and do a in camera stunt all at the same time.

BTW, I've caught Middleditch on a few talkshows, and the dude is fucking hilarious. He's definitely a nerd, but very self aware, and very quick witted. I'll have to check out his standup.

Have you ever seen a dead person naked?

My favorite is still from season 1:
Sorry if I scared you, I know I have somewhat ghost-like features. My uncle used to say, "You look like someone starved a virgin to death."

There's no way they can prove it was him.

Yea, the tech reporter doesn't have to name her source... so it could be any one of the many Hooli people who spilled the beans.

Although it would be interesting to see Bighead lose what's left of his 20 mill and his mansion and have to start from the bottom again. It should take him 2 or 3 episodes to strike it rich again.

Knowing Richard, he will accidentally out Bighead as the source.

Was this the first episode of the series where Pied Piper wasn't near total collapse at some point?

God, I have never hated AND loved a character at the same time like I do with Bachman.

And I just knew Bighead would lose his money - it'ss hilarious how he's not too perturbed by it either.

I also liked how it wasn't just Erlich who spent all of Bighead's money but Bighead himself not realizing how he was WASTING his millions - paying to move the pool TWICE was pure gold.

Re: Silicon Valley (HBO) -- Season 3 Thread -- Premieres 4/24/16

Last night's episode was good - funny as usual - but fucked up in other parts. Like, cringe-inducing. That chick was pretty cute but Richard fucked it all up with his tabs vs. space quirk. Jesusfuckingchrist!

Dinesh and his situation was hilarious and sad all at the same time, too. At least Guilfoyle didn't fuck with him too bad in this one.

EDIT - the girl that played Winnie is Bridey Elliott. Chris Elliott's daughter.

Re: Silicon Valley (HBO) -- Season 3 Thread -- Premieres 4/24/16

Richard's being anal over space vs TAB was good... and then it got dumb. State why you think TAB is better and move the fuck on. It's one thing to demand his employees use TAB, but to make that get in the way of a relationship/lay is stupid. Richard may be socially retarded, but he's not THAT retarded.

Dinesh (regarding Jared): "Russ was right... this guy fucks".
I was hoping in the future that Jared would confirm that Russ Hanneman was right about him... and it happened.

I liked that Big Head still gets confused to the fact that he got 20 million and not just 2 million.
