I loved the video at the end showing all the possible threats to stealing data - with a candid shot of Dinesh being shown to represent "foreigners".

I haven't found this season as laugh-out-loud funny as last so far, but E02 was so dead-on re:the tension between sales and tech people.

I loved the CEO's "double triangle" chart or whatever chart it was...it brought back memories of Gartner's magic quadrants, and other goofy stuff anyone who's been through an MBA program secretly laughs about when they leave the classroom. They've got to have some writers with marketing backgrounds coming up with this stuff.

It's probably all from series co-creator James Altucher who's gone through all that stuff and more. You should check out his blog and stories; some fascinating stuff.

I loved all the prep, the montage, and laying the groundwork that they were going to spend at least part of this season working on a secret project, only to be completely ruined because Richard tripped

I'm wondering if the whole thing is a swerve and that the trip is all part of the plan.

It better be. It was quite awkward and the fact no one tackled Kevin(?) before he walked it into the big boss was lame. Everyone just stood there like dumbasses.

I don't think it was part of the plan, considering everyone was pissed at Richard for bringing the documents and wondered what the fuck he was doing.

Yeah but they also took the time out of the episode to point out how they needed to act the part. So maybe it's all part of it.

I don't know, just the feeling I get.

I thought the ending was funny as it is but it also seems that they went through a lot of set up for that the be the only payoff. Then again, pulling the rug out from underneath these guys is what the show does pretty often.

Yeah - along that note, it was funny to see Carla and expect her to help out, but then just demand her back pay.

I enjoyed seeing Jared have a chance to make funny of someone else for once.

I mean, it's in the name of the episode. :)

[Colonel Meinertzhagen] is frequently credited with a surprise attack known as the Haversack Ruse in October 1917: during the Sinai and Palestine Campaign of the First World War, according to his diary, he let a haversack containing false British battle plans fall into Ottoman military hands, thereby bringing about the British victory in the Battle of Beersheba and Gaza.
They know Barker will expect something underhanded, so they give him what he expects through extreme incompetence so he will lower his guard. But the plans aren't actually the real plans they prepared. They're all fake.

OMG, this show is the funniest fucking thing on TV... hands down!

Serious tension next week, that teaser...
Spoiler:
Big Head (with all his millions) has his own incubator?

That's what made it hilarious -- all that build up and planning for nothing. rotfl

This was a great episode.

I loved all the business predicaments they went through - it was like a roller-coaster ride. Liked how Gavin's smart move actually helped the gang by setting a very high value on the Pied Piper.

Big-head accidentally owns a piece of each of the startups - all because he had too many bedrooms in his mansion and living there alone leaves him scared at night.
If this show goes on for 10 seasons, by then Big-head will wind up richer than Buffet and Gates combined and own the planet Mars.

Jared mentioning that his Air BnB squatter was renting out the condo on Air BnB made me think he should have one of the guys rent the place, then squat out his squatter.

Yes! The nuance of him coughing throughout the entire discussion... freaking brilliant.

I was dying during the bulldog speech... I freaking hate bulldogs, pugs are even worse.

Silicon Valley is the only show I watch when it airs and then I rewatch it at work on Mondays.
