I was thinking the same thing.

Why hasn't Firestorm been shown rearranging matter? All he does is fly around and shoot energy blasts.

It would also significantly up his power levels and fans would be asking every episode, "Why didn't Firestorm do so and so with his powers?" Writing the character on a team show would be much more difficult.

Since Ray is now trapped in the 50's, I am hoping he will ride the telephone lines like he use to do
in the comics.

Ha ha, expecting the Atom to do any thing that the comic character did is a pipe dream. Just pretend he's a mixture of DC's Iron Man with a tad bit of Blue Beetle and there you go.

This show is a mess. I have to agree with the poster who said that every aspect of their planning towards missions and how to execute a plan always seems like they just pulled it out of their ass and it's no wonder they fail.

they have time travel and the dagger, so either go way in the past and kill him when he has no power base, or at the time when team arrow attacked him (so that current hawkman and hawkgirl are alive and with their powers)
but then the show's premise would be over

and why the bulky vault door if that room has a window
