Episode 18 of 20
The events of this episode will supposedly be addressed on The Flash Tuesday.
Here's what I posted in the other thread:
While the crossover is airing as an episode of Supergirl on Monday, "Worlds Finest," the events that Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) lives through in National City with Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist) will carry over to Tuesday's episode of The Flash, "Flash Back." But The Flash episode technically comes first.
"They flip order, obviously, because this will air Monday and The Flash one that sort of hints at how he gets over there and gets back airs on Tuesday," Berlanti told reporters Thursday after an early screening. "The audience has to forgive us because one has to air before the other, but they shouldn't wait to watch Supergirl until after The Flash episode. They should certainly watch it before. But you'll see the shout out in the episode. It deals with Barry increasing his speed and we're very excited about next week's episode of The Flash, too."
According to Berlanti, the episodes airing out of order is just the price they had to pay when dealing with two shows on two different networks.
"Had it been all on one network, we would have been able to coordinate that," Berlanti says. "I'm actually surprised we were able to do it as closely as we were. That worked out to that degree. So you have to imagine they're in parallel worlds, in different universes and the timeline is slightly different. One day ahead."
"When you binge-watch it, it will all make sense," Kreisberg adds with a laugh.

I enjoyed BvS a lot more than I thought I would, but it was damn well dull.
I can't wait for the sheer happiness to jump off the screen tonight.

Re: The Flash and Supergirl having a crossover episode in March on CBS
I am glad they are having fun with it and utilizing the actors quirky sides. Was hoping it wouldn't be a hour of them not trusting or working against each other. Really looking forward to watching this with a grin the whole way.

It will be fun to see Barry have way more chemistry with another female who isn't his intended love interest.

For anyone who didn't see this article, Zack Snyder, the director of BvS and Justice League Part 1, explains why he chose Ezra Miller and didn't even consider Grant Gustin for the movie version of The Flash.

While I think it is a poor decision, what he is saying makes sense. The tone of the movies is far different than the tone of the TV show. My guess is the movie flash will pale in comparison to the TV one in terms of personality.

Why DC insists on ultra-depressing movies is beyond me. And I think the comparison of DC movie hits to DC TV hits in recent years is proof that they're going for the wrong tone.

While it was cool seeing the Flash tonight on this show, I don't think "Supergirl" still my cup of tea. It's more about the romance than the actual superhero stuff. Too campy for my taste.

Melissa Benoist's line reading of "YES!" when she got the ice cream may be the cutest thing she has done on this show.

There were so many happy moments that after this episode I can safely say that it's time to move team Flash over to this Earth for the team ups and just put Team Arrow out of it's misery.

Loved it!
I really hope they are able to develop a full fledged multiverse story in 2-3 seasons. Would be a great opportunity to bring back the Smallville characters for a CW cameo.
Wish Barry had of asked if they have a Big Belly Burger when going to get food.
Regardless of Cat's line about knowing Barry's secret, I've been suspecting Cat knows Kara's secret.

For anyone who's interested in listening to it, here's the episode on CBS's website with audio commentary by Andrew Kreisberg and Greg Berlanti (EPs on this show and The Flash)
http://www.cbs.com/shows/supergirl/v...ive-producers/
I assume this commentary will be ported over to the Supergirl Blu-Ray as well.

I'll respectfully disagree. I kind of expected the show you're describing going in, but I've been surprised at how much of a "superhero" show its turned out to be. It does have more heart than the other Berlanti shows, and I think the romance is the weakest element of it (I just don't think she and "James Olsen" have an iota of chemistry), but I think Benoist as Kara makes up for most of its fumbles.

Loved it. Very fun crossover.
Melissa and Gustin had great chemistry working together.
Cat: "You look like the attractive, yet non-threatening cast of a CW show" Great line.
I wonder if Cat calling The Flash..."The Blur" was a nod to Smallville as well.
The way this was written made sense on how Barry arrived in this universe. Having Oliver Queen come here wouldn't make any sense unless he and Barry traveled together.
Supposedly tomorrow's episode of The Flash takes place before this episode. Going to be interesting to see how that works out.

Re: Supergirl (S1E18) -- "World's Finest" -- The Flash Crossover -- 3/28/16
This episode was probably the most fun I've had watching Supergirl. They went all out and everyone seemed to step up their game, from the cast to the writers.
When Barry called himself the fastest man alive, I was waiting for Kara to respond "Are you sure, have you met my cousin?"
I would agree with the speculation that Cat knows Kara is Supergirl and deciding to hide that from her at the moment.
I think James and Kara do have romantic chemistry together but that kiss could have been better. The director didn't do either actor any favors by showing them head-on.

Her reaction to the ice cream was the best! They need more crossovers every year. This was fantastic.

Quote for the lazy
Monday's highly publicized crossover episode, which brought Grant Gustin's Scarlet Speedster from The CW to CBS, resulted in a 31-percent boost to "Supergirl's" ratings.
According to TVLine, "World's Finest" drew 7.24 million total viewers and a 1.7 rating, putting a stop not only to Silver Banshee and Livewire, but also to the show's four-week decline.
