Re: Under the Dome (CBS) -- Season 3 Thread -- Premieres 6/25/15

If you watch one hour of television this summer, watch the most recent Under the Dome episode. It was possibly the most insane hour of network television I've ever seen.

Apparently the cocoon has given the lady special cougar powers. Sam's turn back to alcoholism was hilarious in how they had the suicidal woman tempt him.

I'm sure a mental relationship that lasted for months is likely to overshadow one that was only a couple weeks old.

Am I the only one kind of hoping the finish up the show this season? I just don't see it going for several more seasons without ending up canceled.

I thought that when the first season was half over let alone two more seasons. Personally this does not feel like it needs to be a seasonal season type of show. It should just finish up the story this season and be done.

The Amazon streaming deal basically pays for this series, so it would have to go dead in the ratings to get canceled.

So Junior is now sleeping with Cocoon lady. I loved how Joe was describing his love, "Norrie, I like you when you are a mean, nasty person. I missed that person. She's been gone."

After that off-feeling opener, the show has hit its stride in terms of sheer lunacy.

That was one of the most vicious fights I've seen on television in recent memory. So Barbie and Ava nearly get beaten to death, only for them seconds later to profess their undying love to each other?

That scene with Big Jim's dog was cruel and unusually dramatic for Under the Dome. It felt like a scene from a much better series.

I had no idea there are entire forums dedicated to this show.

I've been loving this season's recent wackiness, from Cougar Lady seducing Junior into being a terrible carpenter to Sam's return to alcoholism.

I enjoyed Sam's tribute to Foster Brooks.

So in the "this season in Domeland" clip-trailer, are they blowing up everything outside of the dome?

Also, are the Evil Energy Co. (EEC) guys able to leave the dome? I thought the cellar->lake was one-way?

It's a moot point now since I think they are all dead, but the evil company could move freely back and forth.

They seem to be breaking up the power couple in Barbie and Julia. There is much gnashing of teeth about this on other boards.

I have no idea where they want to take that Hunter arc. So he's paralyzed for life and will need full-time care going forward. Unless he gets healed by the Dome, he's a nearly useless character.

So Sam the medic bungled killing what's-her-name. Shows what drinking can do to you. Sober Sam didn't bring a knife to an axe fight.

And here is the season 3 premier review. As always, it is about a thousand times more entertaining than the actual episode:

Under the Dome Season 3 Premiere Review: More Dome-tacular Than Ever

LOL Thx for these. I gave up on this show first season, but can't help but enter these threads to see what I'm missing...

The moral is that revenge is best done sober.

I am praying that Barbie knocks up his imaginary cocoon girlfriend but breaks up with her to stay with Julia. That could be a whole spin-off on its own.

Sure the child would be of adult age by the end of the season.

Most hilarious apocalypse since Shaun of the Dead. So many jaw-dropping moments.

There was so much stupidity in one hour of television I have to think that even the producers have completely given up trying to take the show seriously. It was hate-watching heaven. I may actually start to looking forward to the next episode if this keeps up.
