Good riddance. What started off as a moderately interesting quickly devolved into one of the most laughably bad shows in recent memory. It is what I imagine Extant and Zoo to be like, and was the reason that I never started watching either of them.

Can't say I'm sad to see it go. Season one was pretty good and left me wanting to find out more about the dome, but it just kept going downhill from there. Season 3 was about as terrible as it could have been so it's no surprise to see it canceled although the deal with Amazon I thought would have kept it going a bit longer anyhow. I just hope they wrap things up with the finale.

About fuckin' time. As already stated numerous times in other threads, the whole story was suppose to take place in only one week.

I gave up with 3 episodes left in season one when they announced it was renewed for season 2.

Season three had decent plotting, which is more than you can say for the first two seasons. I have no idea what the original plan was for season one, but it looked like they started making things up after 4 or 5 episodes with no goals.

It's amazing to me how tv/movie writers have a hard time writing for King's works. Sure, some of the endings of his books are a bit far fetched, and the characters over-developed, but it can't be that hard.
Whoever directed tvs Salem's Lot (79) and IT, and movies Christine, Misery, Pet Semetary, and Stand By Me should only be allowed to touch his work.

I read an article recently saying that out of all the films based off of his work, Stephen King's favorite is The Mist.

As we come crashing to the final episode of Under the Dome, it's hard for me to hold back the tears.
The most beautiful people we have known are those who have known defeat, known suffering, known struggle, known loss, and have found their way out of those depths. What am I trying to say? Barbie and Julia are the most beautiful people. Godspeed, Chester's Mill.

That finale... just when you thought they had ended it they throw in a final scene which leaves the whole thing open. -_-

I'm pretty sure this "series finale" was filmed before the show was officially cancelled, and was probably intended to just be a "season finale".

The finest drama to ever grace the small screen is now over. I have a morbid curiosity in wishing to see Big Jim as a Congressman fighting aliens. It's nice to know in this crazy world that Barbie and Julia are out there together, fighting the good fight.
Who would have thought that Big Jim's dog would become an integral member of the cast?
The ratings for season 3 were pretty bad from the very beginning. The staff likely knew this would be a series finale by the time they wrote it, even if the final word hadn't been announced. It looks like they offered a mini-reboot and CBS didn't want to see Barbie, Julia, Big Jim, his dog, and Norrie fighting aliens in DC for another season.
Anyone else wonder how Joe went from a dumb high school kid in season one to a genius physicist by the end of season three?

My final reaction was "huh?" The penultimate episode was horrible. The finale was stinko, but at least Indy got a bite in. I really like Dean Norris and hope he finds something worthy of his talents.

The characters on this show are so stupid, more so than other shows.
Sam hits junior with a few punches during a life and death fight, then walks away with his back to junior when he knows he hasn't been fully taken out, sheesh
I dont really see the ending as much of a cliffhanger, the wrap up was enough for me

While the fantasy cocoon world in season three's opener was critical to how the plot developed, it was a weird way to begin the season. That may have turned off some viewers that had grown bored hate-watching Under the Dome. I think season 3 may have been even more hate-watchable than the first two seasons.

I am not shedding any tears that it was cancelled, but I did enjoy the closure we got with the one year time leap...the series finale worked for me.

Surprised they remembered they set off that bomb. They made it seem like the dome was a few miles across. It just never looks as large as they make it out to be.
