On a related note: I always thought it was funny on Win Ben Stein's Money, when someone answered in the form of a question...pissed Ben off!

Yeah but the first guy is still a poor bastard.

Okay, not exactly about the episode in question, but there's a rumor that something big happened on tonight's jeopardy. Did anybody watch?

I thought the returning champion might have done what he did on purpose and caused a first for the show.

Spoiler:
It was a three way tie at the end of final Jeopardy. All three contestants won $16,000!

ooola.
Spoiler:
what does that mean for the next show?

Spoiler:
i thought he did it on purpose as well...or he is extremely incompetent and forgot to add the 1 at the end of his wager......

all three contestants will be on again!!!

and to make matters more interesting, he didn't have fingers...more like claws???

Charlie Goose 03-16-07 08:31 PM

Did Alex Trebek take out his "signalling device" and cover the podium with spooge after that happened?

calhoun07 03-16-07 09:25 PM

No pics yet? What does a guy have to do to get some pics around here?

I was hoping the big event tonight would be that all three contestants were freaks. The one guy had claw hands, I would have bet money that the guy on the right was going to turn out to be a midget*, and I was thinking the guy in the middle wold step out from behind the podium and reveal some mutant deformity.

I'm kind of a morbid individual. :)

*Not that being a midget makes you a freak...I'm just sayin'

here is the screencap. It was pretty nifty. The catagory was dealing with women in the 1930s. The answer mentioned that this woman was shot by many people so the question was Bonnie of Bonnie and Clyde. The hard part was remembering her last name. Anyway, all three will be back to compete on Monday's show.

Jeopardy Celebrity Tournament

Once a month for the next nine months.

Today was Wolf Blitzer, Dana Delany and Andy Richter.

Wolf Blitzter is a complete moron. -$4600

I'll take the penis mightier for $800.

Re: Jeopardy Celebrity Tournament

I know CJ is easier than regular play, but damn Andy Richter just blew away Dana Delany and Wolf Blitzer. Did Blitzer give one correct answer except for the final? And they had to give him $1000 just to play.

I'll take Jap Anus Relations for 200, Alex.

So when will Turd Ferguson be on?

OldBoy 09-18-09 12:34 PM

Re: Jeopardy Celebrity Tournament

Andy Richter was on fire. won $68,000. but, those questions...could they have been any easier? didn't Andy do this last year and did very well? Wolf is an absolute moron. for all his news and political prowess to come in $-4,600 and when he said "crash" as the answer to a question that had "crash" in it relating to a financial down turn, i thought how embarassing for CNN.

Richter destroyed it. Loved that he knew he couldn't lose with his $29,000 FJ wager and, even if he missed it, his charity was still guaranteed $50k.

On his way to $1M, he's got a great shot, unless they throw Ken Jennings in there.

Is there a full schedule and participant list somewhere?

The games will be played the third Thursday of each month. There's a press release on there that mentions Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Doug Savant, Christopher Meloni, Elizabeth Perkins and Pat Sajak as contestants. That was all I could figure out. I went looking yesterday after watching the first one.

Good grief, yes. That response made me cringe.
