I'm not. I never thought Hannah was particularly strong. Above average, but with some blind spots, and against weak competitors. I had no idea Ben would blow it out so big though.

Re: Jeopardy! Discussion

So, who's going to remember it? It seems to have been toned down from 'we will all remember this' to 'speaking only for myself, I will remember that.'

Regardless, it still makes no sense. The show was already written, and apparently it's only one week of episodes.

Re: Jeopardy! Discussion

It's weird that Wil Wheaton is singling out Ken Jennings when other programs are still in production and actors, directors, and crew who are all union members are crossing those lines and still working.

And Ken isn't doing anything that Alex Trebek didn't do, who also kept hosting Jeopardy through two writers strikes.

It does make his motives seem suspect.

I've always liked Wheaton, seemed like a decent fellow, but he's really showing his ass here.

Yeah, I don't get the Wheaton bitching.

Great final in Masters. Good game theory in the 2nd game FJ.

I was shocked that nobody got the second Final Jeopardy. Even with a minimal understanding of Latin, it was pretty obvious it was a reference to Le Morte d'Arthur by Thomas Malory, which is itself English Lit 101 stuff. All three should have gotten it, though James on the right track but in the wrong century.

One of those rare times that I got the FJ and everybody playing muffed it.

Re: Jeopardy! Discussion

Sadly I knew the Latin translation and that it related to King Arthur, but didn't know Malory. Somehow I missed out on English Lit 101 while taking math, science, and computer classes. What a waste of time those turned out to be! I can split an atom but I couldn't come up with the name of a 15th century author.

Re: Jeopardy! Discussion

I had no idea - I just defaulted to Chaucer like Mattea did. But I suck on literature.
