I agree. Unfortunately, other than Jesse, no one else saw what happened. And since she's a victim of domestic violence she might be too afraid to speak up in defense of Rick. And when Rick pulled his gun on everyone, it made him look crazy. He was right in how he handled the situation, until that point.

I'm saying that from a writing perspective, having Rick smack Carl in the face makes him just as bad as Pete in the eyes of the audience. Having him shove Carl instead is not great but it's a step or two below what Pete did and I think that was deliberate on the writers' part.

Maybe that is how you took it, but certainly not me. He was just keeping away anybody that tried to interfere.

What was certainly deliberate was showing the viewing viewing TV audience that Pete was the attacker, but only Rick and Pete know that for sure. All the crowd in Alexandria saw was two guys trying to kill each other.

It certainly looks like they are purposely trying to give all the key characters valid reasons for taking over Alexandria. By force if necessary. Will be interesting to see how they end the season and how they set up next season as it relates to their continued time in Alexandria.

Rick has, through action or deliberate inaction, allowed or caused scores of people to be hurt and killed for the sole purpose of "protecting his group." (I'm not even convinced he is protecting the group, rather he is only protecting his children.)
I stopped caring about Rick's character toward the end of the 2nd/beginning of the 3rd season. His personality and behavior seems to change to fit what the writers need to accomplish rather than as a result of the character's change in response to his surroundings and experiences.

I am not saying either is justified ... I am saying you cannot defend one at the expense of the other.

So if Rick so despises the "cowardly and incompetent" Alexandrians, why the hell is he still lugging Father Gabriel around? He locked the doors and allowed his whole congregation to be eaten alive just so he could get his beauty sleep.
The underlying theme seems to be that there are different approaches to survival that while internally consistent all have their contradictions.

Possible options:

*walkers will see the red balloon and it will will draw them to Alexandria

*Carol will shoot the helium tank and blow up Alexandria

*The Wolves will find the deflated balloon; attached to it is a card with Cookie Monster Kid's address on it and a note inviting "whoever finds this balloon, please visit us in beautiful downtown Alexandria ... And bring cookies."

*the balloon gets tangled in the power lines, causing short circuiting and a failure of their electric system again. Eugene will need to do more installation of "said shit."

*Sasha starts shooting balloons from the tower.

That's pretty tame. She's pretty, but it's not like she's showing any skin. I looks like it could be on the cover of pretty much anything in a public place without even soccer moms complaining. Though we cover up Cosmo at work, so I guess someone must've complained about it. But hell, even fitness magazines have women in swimsuits on the front of them now.

There are going to be 99 red balloons spread out over the course of the series as easter eggs. This was number 47. Haven't you been watching?

People in community have no crisis awareness. Crazy Rick wants to replace it. Look forward to the last episode in this season.

With Cosmo it's the article titles people complain about, not the pictures. "16 Ways to Spruce Up Your Va-Jay-Jay" or "Is There Such A Thing As Too Much Masturbation". Some stores, like Wal-Mart, use pocket blinders to block the cover text but not cover photo.

We do the same. Mostly just to cover up the whole thing, the actress showing off her legs and all of the "how to drive your boyfriend wild in bed" and "virgins speak about blowjobs" articles. All you can see is the magazine title. Not that anyone buys print magazines anymore anyway.

From what I hear Playboy has gotten very tame with their photography. I think Hefner's daughter runs the magazine these days.

Not a spoiler as I don't know who lives/dies. I'm hoping in the finale that Carol tries to take out Pete and he beats her to death. Just because I think the internet would f-ing explode over that ending for her.

Thanks...
I remembered this post and just thought I'd stop in and say that Comixology has a Walking Dead sale again.

They have two bundles for $40 each, which together go up to issue #96
Also, they have the 22 collections released so far for $5.99 each.

Finally, all issues #1-132 (and the 3 specials) are 99 cents each

https://www.comixology.com/The-Walki...Sale/page/5947

Just pick up the issues you need on the site, download the free app on your iPad, and you're set.

Michael Cudlitz apparently has stated people will be pissed after Sunday's episode...

That leads me to believe that Carol or Daryl is going to die.

Maybe nobody dies in the finale and its just a boring episode. That seems to piss people off the most.
