I agree. Unfortunately, other than Jesse, no one else saw what happened. And since she's a victim of domestic violence she might be too afraid to speak up in defense of Rick. And when Rick pulled his gun on everyone, it made him look crazy. He was right in how he handled the situation, until that point.

Based on ... What? I don't think either one was deliberate; both were simply caught up in attacking their "enemy." It wouldn't have mattered who tried to interfere in either case. Neither one looked to see (or even cared) who was interfering. Both were reacting to somebody trying to stop the fight, not targeting a particular person.

I'm saying that from a writing perspective, having Rick smack Carl in the face makes him just as bad as Pete in the eyes of the audience. Having him shove Carl instead is not great but it's a step or two below what Pete did and I think that was deliberate on the writers' part.
What was certainly deliberate was showing the viewing viewing TV audience that Pete was the attacker, but only Rick and Pete know that for sure. All the crowd in Alexandria saw was two guys trying to kill each other.
It certainly looks like they are purposely trying to give all the key characters valid reasons for taking over Alexandria. By force if necessary. Will be interesting to see how they end the season and how they set up next season as it relates to their continued time in Alexandria.

It is very interesting just how divisive of a character Rick has become. Honestly, I am glad there are a few people here who agree with me. Not as a matter of right or wrong, but because I read some of the posts here and wonder if I am watching the same show as others!
Rick has, through action or deliberate inaction, allowed or caused scores of people to be hurt and killed for the sole purpose of "protecting his group." (I'm not even convinced he is protecting the group, rather he is only protecting his children.)

Again, not trying to demean domestic violence by any means, but looking the other way while Pete beats Jesse is far less egregious. Hell, even if Pete beats her and the kids to death, Rick will still be far ahead in the tally column, and Alexandria will have done what Rick has done for 5 seasons now. I am not saying either is justified ... I am saying you cannot defend one at the expense of the other.
So if Rick so despises the "cowardly and incompetent" Alexandrians, why the hell is he still lugging Father Gabriel around? He locked the doors and allowed his whole congregation to be eaten alive just so he could get his beauty sleep.

*walkers will see the red balloon and it will will draw them to Alexandria
*Carol will shoot the helium tank and blow up Alexandria
*The Wolves will find the deflated balloon; attached to it is a card with Cookie Monster Kid's address on it and a note inviting "whoever finds this balloon, please visit us in beautiful downtown Alexandria ... And bring cookies."
*the balloon gets tangled in the power lines, causing short circuiting and a failure of their electric system again. Eugene will need to do more installation of "said shit."
*Sasha starts shooting balloons from the tower.

That's pretty tame. She's pretty, but it's not like she's showing any skin. I looks like it could be on the cover of pretty much anything in a public place without even soccer moms complaining. Though we cover up Cosmo at work, so I guess someone must've complained about it. But hell, even fitness magazines have women in swimsuits on the front of them now.

We do the same. Mostly just to cover up the whole thing, the actress showing off her legs and all of the "how to drive your boyfriend wild in bed" and "virgins speak about blowjobs" articles. All you can see is the magazine title. Not that anyone buys print magazines anymore anyway.

Not a spoiler as I don't know who lives/dies. I'm hoping in the finale that Carol tries to take out Pete and he beats her to death. Just because I think the internet would f-ing explode over that ending for her.

Michael Cudlitz apparently has stated people will be pissed after Sunday's episode...

Maybe nobody dies in the finale and its just a boring episode. That seems to piss people off the most.
