The group realizes that sheltered life might not be possible as life within the walls starts to mimic life outside. Will these setbacks break Rick?

Episode 15 of 16

Posting this a little early. Will be at work tomorrow when this starts airing.

When I was here, I wanted to be there; when I was there, all I could think of was getting back into the dead. I'm here a week now... waiting for a mission... getting softer. Every minute I stay in this compound, I get weaker, and every minute the dead wanders in the bush, he gets stronger. Each time I looked around the walls moved in a little tighter.

With only one episode left in this season, I imagine the bodies will start to pile up.

What was with the CD at the beginning? I like NiN, but I didn't see what it meant?

I thought it said "Run tape", for when they go out on runs in the van.

Just catching up on it from the DVR, but it seemed foolish for Rick to immediately go to "then we kill him" instead of "then we lock him up".

That doctor might be able to beat up on his wife with no problem, but he has no idea what he's getting into by fighting with Rick. This is the same guy who, while handcuffed, ripped another guy's throat out with his teeth. The doctor doesn't stand a chance.

I love how the people of the town have no problem with the doctor beating up on his wife, but when Rick actually stands up to the guy then everyone gets pissed at Rick. I mean, Rick went off the deep-end in the final scene, but what he said was true. These people are not capable of running this town and are just asking for trouble. They built the support beams in a way that hostiles could easily scale them; they have no problem abandoning those in need; and they aren't able to adequately defend themselves. Honestly, I sort of prefer this Rick to the apathetic one we had for so long.

I'm also loving death-wish Sasha.

Rick looked kind of like Ash from the Evil Dead movies near the end.

This episode seemed to be mainly setting up the season finale.

But the scene that really caught my interest was Daryl and Aaron finding the dismembered walkers and the disemboweled woman tied to the tree (although it's possible that scene might be for setting up next season instead of this season's finale).

Which part? In spoilers, of course.

Yeah, it's also exactly what Carol threatened to do to the kid.

I think that while Carol exiled from the group she started the Wolf gang and ransacked Noah's town before she reconnected with the group.

Ok, why can't rick and company say hey idiots you're leaving your folks to die out there and were actually trying to protect you fools!
I'm not going to be happy if they decide to exile Rick or its Rick against everyone else.

Did you post this AFTER the fight?? Looked to me like the doctor was about to take him out until his wife interfered.

I think this is the episode where the Walking Dead finally jumped the shark. I am finding the entire domestic abuse arc a laughable plot development, Rick's insane overreaction to kill the guy first permanently damages whatever was left of the character. Everything really fell off the rails in this episode except maybe Glen's handling of the community resident.

I'm not saying Alexandria is fully prepared should somebody decide to attack but:

1.) they obviously are capable of running the town and surviving. They've done a better job than Rick and his group since the Apocalypse began. It wasn't until Rick showed up that things started to go to shit on this level.

2.) Rick and Co. have done very little to help them prepare. I don't see them training anybody or raising an army; just stealing weapons a planning a coup.

Death Wish Sasha has nothing on Not In My House Michonne.

I disagree.

One of the things this show has lacked is the idea of rebuilding. Woodbury had some but I didn't get the sense of them looking to the future.

So now you've got a place that could, in theory, be the start of someplace new. And you've got one doctor in that place who is beating his wife. If you let him keep being the doctor, he'll keep beating (and probably end up killing) his wife. If you lock him up, you have to feed him and guard him and he won't be helping you anymore either. Rick's solution is to kill him because that's how their group has resolved this kind of thing before (see: Lizzie). But the Alexandrians see their only doctor getting beaten up by one of the "savages" who just arrived.

It's the kind of thing that should be relatively easy to handle in our world (and I realize it's not) but it's a life or death situation in this one.

I don't know about jumping the shark, but I agree with your assessment of this storyline. Rick's obsession is downright psycho-stalker-creepy. He is acting like a guy who finally gets to play small town cop, not somebody who actually was a cop. He had no suspicions, he hadn't seen anything. But somebody else tells him this and it gives him the opportunity to kill off the husband of the woman he is creeping on.

Add to that the fact that he just did the same thing to Carl that Pete did to Jesse while they were fighting ...

I've wondered this for some time, but can anybody explain how I am still supposed to like Rick?
