So many hilarious things in this episode. Who was it here that said there is nothing funny in this show?
Carl strapping Chuckie down with heroin. The dogs leading the drug agents right to Chuckie. Frank being the one to rat out Chuckie as revenge against Sammi. The community garden being opened in the empty lot next to the Gallagher house and them wanting $2K for Fiona to join it. Debbie pretending to be bi-polar just to replace Ian's drugs. Mickey's baby mama doing the "wifely duties" for V.

Carl framing Chuckie with the drugs was awesome. And then they ended up being cell neighbors.
I was glad that Gus blew off Fiona after her apology. Having her happy and normal would never work for this show. Fiona is way too damaged. The character is a good dude, but Fiona and good dudes don't work.
I do hope we've seen the last of Steve/Jimmy. I think his story ran it's course.
Still hate V. Blowing off Kev & ignoring her infant babies because she wasn't getting laid & entertaining an affair. Terrible mother and wife.

Showtime has a knack about not making you care for main female characters on their series... Look at Weeds and Nurse Jackie as other examples... you grow to despise the characters, especially when they don't change
Good episode, more Gallagher craziness...

This episode was exactly why I like this show so much. You had the hilarity of Carl and the drugs but you also had some rough to watch (but incredibly acted) moments particularly with Ian and Lip.
I have a hard time feeling bad for Fiona over this but I think she realizes that it's her fault, which I suppose is some growth.

It was telling that Lip knew if he didn't continue with his education that he would never be able to make it back. That is a lot of growth for someone who at one point didn't really think about his future.
Kevin hooking up with the college chick could get interesting. Maybe she gets pregnant. That would be a game changer but typical for that lifestyle.
Mickey's baby momma doing V after having done Kev, maybe that leads to a 3some.
Ian is just messed up and in denial. I wouldn't be surprised to see him off himself or someone else.
This show is really good and somehow I've known people like them. Maybe not all in 1 family tho.

Lip begging for more time to pay his tuition and explaining why he can't be at home with his bipolar brother.

I thought that was a pretty sad moment, I felt bad for Lip... one of the few likable ones in the family along with Debbie who fakes mental illness in attempt to get her brother the meds he needs

You find that scene funny? I thought it was pretty serious and real. Lip know he has the best chance in the family to get out of the slum and have a better life. Not attending school would be a huge step backward.

It's in reference to the Emmy change thread about comedy and drama. And the debate on what Shameless can be categorized as. He's trying to be funny, but nobody gets the reference apparently, so the joke isn't landing.
