Re: Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas
A bunch of Hallmark Christmas movies were just released on Vudu. Unfortunately, they're currently full price. But they'll probably be on sale during the holidays.
Christmas at Holly Lodge (2017)
Karen Kingsbury's Maggie's Christmas Miracle (2017)
Debbie Macomber's Dashing Through the Snow (2015)
Christmas Next Door (2017)
A Bramble House Christmas (2017)
Engaging Father Christmas (2017)

It’s hard to believe Countdown to Christmas will start at the end of the month. I liked a few of those new movies, but I’ll wait for the Vudu sale.

Watching that preview with the perpetually returning actors reminds me of the old studio-player days when Mickey Rooney continually churned out Andy Hardy movies.
With the world burning down these days, I say bring on the schmaltz!

Eh, I watched a lot of the Cheers reruns on Hallmark the last few months, even kept a few favorite eps on my DVR. I think I can last till January.

Oh, I poop here every year in October, lamenting how the 24-hour Christmas movie format cancels out my Cheers reruns (that are on so late, I have to DVR them anyway!).
Make ya a deal. Buy me the complete box set of Cheers on DVD and I'll no longer complain!

I would suggest filling up the DVR or paying for two months of Prime video.

If anyone is interested, there is a contest for a walk-on role in a Hallmark Christmas Movie.
The contest is a partnership between Crown Media and World Market. Gift cards are also prizes to be awarded.

Philo adds the 3 Hallmark Channels to their streaming service. So excited about this.

Starting today, Philo’s national TV streaming service is adding Hallmark Channel, along with Hallmark Movies & Mysteries and Hallmark Drama, to its line-up of other top entertainment, lifestyle and knowledge programming.
With Philo’s 72-hour look back feature, on demand service and unlimited DVR (30 days), they can watch when and where they want.
These beloved channels are available on Philo just in time for top-rated holiday programming events, Hallmark Channel’s “Countdown to Christmas” and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries’ “Miracles of Christmas.” The three channels join other popular networks including A&E, AMC, Comedy Central, Food Network, HGTV, ID, Lifetime, MTV, Nickelodeon, OWN, Tastemade, WE TV, and many more, for only $16/month subscription.

Its hard to believe today is the first day for Hallmark Christmas movies, and Halloween isn't until Wednesday. Will anyone be watching this early?

Been watching since yesterday. Switched from ATT&TWatch TV to Philo for $16 a month for all three Hallmark channels. Been keeping the Christmas movies on as I get work done.
1st new premiere is good.

There's no greater fan than I of Hallmark's Christmas movies, but they've oversaturated the schedule. This is overload. But I hate discouraging them, because virtually every other network has abandoned traditional Christmas-themed movies.

So far so good because I think this has been a pretty strong start to their Countdown to Christmas films. I need to watch Marrying Father Christmas and I am all caught up. Also, see my TV films thread for mention of a couple of Netflix 2018 Holiday films worth a watch.

Re: Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas
I watched one of the Valentine movies that Amazon had for 99 cents, Appetite for Love. Taylor Cole plays a big-city brand manager who returns to her hometown to force her boyfriend to convert his farm-to-table family restaurant to conform to corporate standards. Hilarity ensues, as well as life lessons, of course
Currently watching A Wish for Christmas with Lacey Chabert. Haven't watched any of the new movies yet.

Taylor Cole keeps trying to get a standard network gig but always returns to the safe haven that is Hallmark.

Re: Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas
I downloaded the Countdown to Christmas app. I like seeing the new movies and being able to check off the ones I watch, but with a DVR, I don't really need an alert telling me when one is on. I wish it had all the movies in its database and had the ability to rate so I'd know which ones I'd be more interested in rewatching.
