Re: Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas

That's neat to hear, I think they are on sling tv as well. I really wish they had a streaming network. It would be an easier way to watch their movies.

Re: Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas

Amazon Video has a bunch of Hallmark Channel movies on sale today. Most of them have dropped to $4.99 (HD). Some as low as $2.99.

The Good Witch movies are $2.99-$3.99 each. The Good Witch's Wonder is $0.99. I grabbed all 7 original movies. I think it was around $22 total.

So Hallmark has their Christmas Keepsake week starting next week on July 14th, for those who enjoy these movies like I do I think they premiere some new movies too.

Was that in stores or online? I wouldn't mind getting it since I haven't seen those movies.

I definitely saw it in-store, but don't find it anywhere on their site. At my store it was near the back, in one of the aisles (rather than an endcap or one of the standalone displays).

I was just joking about this with someone yesterday ... my wife will be glued to the TV and I will be subjected to the start of Christmas in July. Fucking July!

When it's miserably hot outside, it helps to think of cooler weather and the Christmas season.

Re: Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas

The Hallmark Channel app on the Roku has two Christmas movies:

Hitched For The Holidays
Naughty or Nice

I liked both of those.

Kind of depressing to watch a Xmas movie in July with the hot weather and the sun not going down until 9:30pm.

Re: Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas

Here's Hallmark Christmas movies: Premiere dates for 12 new films revealed

Christmas still may be a few months away, but Hallmark is getting ready to deliver an overstuffed sack of Yuletide movies down your chimney: Look for 33 movies to debut on Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries later this year. Today’s present? We bring you the premiere dates of the 12 flicks that will air on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, one of them previously unannounced.

Hallmark Movies & Mysteries commence its 24-hours-a-day holiday-themed programming initiative, titled “The Most Wonderful Miracles of Christmas,” on Oct. 27, and the barrage of merriment will continue through Dec. 31. Viewer favorites from past years will be re-aired, along with these dozen new original TV movies, presented in order of airdate. They’re arriving faster than you think; Mr. Christmas kicks off the festivities on Nov. 5.
Here's When 21 New Christmas Movies Will Premiere on Hallmark Channel

Trying to find a way to get into the Christmas spirit when it's still several calendar pages away? Hallmark wants to flip you into Yuletide mode before the first leaves start changing color. In addition to 12 original holiday TV flicks debuting on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Channel, 21 more films will premiere on sister network Hallmark Channel. That’s 33 movies in total, giving you more holiday cheer than you can shake a peppermint-striped candlestick at. Where to begin? By getting a handle on the schedule. Hallmark Channel commences its festivities on Oct. 27 with its “Countdown to Christmas" campaign, which offers up classic sugary Hallmark movies as well as these new ones. Want to see twin sisters to swap lives at Christmas? One Switched for Christmas, coming up, and starring Candace Cameron Bure. Prefer a Christmas sweeter than no other? Talk to your doctor to see if Lacey Chabert's The Sweetest Christmas is right for you. Would you like to rediscover love through the magic of rail? The Christmas Train has a seat for you. Hope you like the holidays, because they’re about to be served up 21 different ways. Here are the debut details on Hallmark Channel’s full slate, which contain a few previously unannounced offerings.

Re: Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas

All of my favorite hallmark women are back for another year. I would like to know more about the the new streaming channel from Hallmark that is supposed to launch in October. What will it feature, and what kind of programming will it have in terms of Christmas movies.

Re: Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas

Looks like all the usual suspects have returned this year. Danica McKellar, Lacey Chabert, Candace Cameron Bure, Erin Krakow, Lori Loughlin, Catherine Bell, Alison Sweeney, Autumn Reeser, Julie Benz, and Rachel Boston. Alicia Witt is getting the coveted Thanksgiving night spot.

I wish Haylie Duff was part of that list...she was in some past Hallmark films. I know she was also in a Lifetime holiday themed film back when they still bothered to generate a handful of holiday films. Julie Gonzalo is becoming a regular, she was in Pumpkin Pie Wars which I recently re-watched for the third time (it is a fave of mine) and is in Falling For Vermont, which I believe debuts this weekend. But wait, there is more...forgot about Tricia Helfer, who has been consistently popping up in Hallmark films.

I believe I have seen every single Hallmark original film this year...and like Pokemon I gotta catch em all.

Edited to add: I was prematurely excited, Falling for Vermont airs on the 23rd. Part of their Fall Harvest crop of films. Also, not a regular, but a name that should pop up under the cast list of more Hallmark movies is Shannon Doherty, because Growing The Big One was a fun film and she should show up in more Hallmark films (I know, I know, she is notoriously difficult to work with...but the movie was entertaining).

Re: Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas

Interesting cast: One movie has Dermot Mulroney, Danny Glover, and Joan Cusack.

I don't see any listings for Amy Acker or Lindy Booth yet.

Re: Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas

There's a third Hallmark Channel coming on October 1st. It's called Hallmark Drama which will have original films, series, and Hallmark Hall of Fame movies. I hope my cable company will add it.

LA Times has a good article on Hallmark Channel's growing popularity:

Re: Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas

I like Hallmark movies, because it helps me believe there is still good in the world, and yes the cultural divide has helped its popularity. That's a surprisingly good story from the LA Times.

Hallmark content is an increasingly safe oasis from the culture wars that have swept the rest of Hollywood entertainment.

Elevator Girl - Lacey Chabert
Friend Request - Erin Krakow
Uncorked - Julie Benz
The Flower Girl - Marla Sokoloff
Nanny Express - Vanessa Marcil
The Joneses: Unplugged - Mischa Barton

Re: Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas

Interesting. I wonder if they'll add some Christmas movies closer to the holidays.

I 'cut the cord' several months ago, so I won't be able to watch any of the new Hallmark Christmas movies this year, unless I can stream them somehow. I know the Feeln streaming service is being relaunched as Hallmark Movies Now and can be subscribed to monthly, but I can't tell if they are going to be carrying any of the new movies concurrently with the cable channel, or if they'll just have stuff from the back catalog.
