Better yet, team up Ollie and Cisco. It'd be like the Odd Couple to the extreme.

I don't think Amell has acted very well in his scenes with Barry/Flash. You could tell that Arrow was acting and sounding a little different with the other hero around. He's taking the role of big brother, when I think he'd be more concerned with a superpowered individual running amok.

So it definitely had scheduling issues.
That's how they started the show out. They aired it at 830 to avoid Simpsons and The Cosby show. Then they moved it with no promotion and eventually moved it to Saturday again after no promotion.

I remember watching the old series on Saturday nights when I was in college. Yeah, I had no social life. That one and Broken Badges, I seem to remember being on Saturday nights. Ah, the good ol' days...

What's a "social life?"

Didn't the 90s series run on Sci-Fi in reruns at one point? I remember reading that it was pretty expensive to produce back in the day.

It was a very expensive show for its time. I think it did run on Sci-Fi at one point.

So are there any superhero pairing archetypes besides the Superman-Batman dynamic? Yeah, didn't think so . Glen Winter is a vet, apparently he was the DP on Smallville before he became a director, he certainly knows how to juggle the FX, lighting, etc. This was pretty good-looking episode, especially the fight between the two title characters, even if the "superheroes fight each other because of differing tactics and and mind-control" storyline is as worn as old-tire-tread. Goddamn, this is what I dreamed would be on TV as a kid, I can't believe its come true.
