I've thought Cisco fills his role nicely, though the character is veering into an overblown fanboy caricature. He doesn't have to name every single villain and hero they meet. He does add a different dimension to the team.

I didn't like Cisco much at first -- he smiles that dopey grin WAAAAY too much -- but he's definitely grown on me. The writers are learning that not every line has to be a quip.
But I enjoy the energy he brings, and it helps make Flash a lighter, more optimistic vision than Arrow.

I like Cisco. In fact, I like that the core three are super nerds. Heck, Barry even acknowledged that in one of the previous episodes. The one where not-Colossus first appeared.

Some casting news -- they are bringing back a classic (Silver Age) Flash villain, to be played by a familiar face.

Yup. A little goes a long way with that character. Hopefully they realize this and don't blow it.
They have solid leads and should allow them to have all the extra time they are thinking of giving to those that should only be given one-liners.

My favorite line of the whole crossover has to be Roy's:
"When did we start selling admission to the 'Arrow Cave'"?

Nope -- Michael Rosenbaum was Lex Luthor on Smallville and has done a ton of DC Animated work, including as Deadshot in Justice League (where he also played the Flash) and as various characters (including villains) on Batman Beyond.
Clancy Brown has also done a ton of DCU characters, notably Lex Luthor on Superman: The Animated Series, and was General Eiling on the Flash, so I guess it depends whether you consider Eiling a villain (I do).
Roddy McDowall was the Mad Hatter on Batman: The Animated Series and Bookworm on the Adam West TV series. I don't think he had a third credit, though, but I think he's the only actor to do both shows.

Yeah, then he probably is -- I can't think of any other possibilities offhand.

Excellent Casting News - knew that they would get that person to play that role.
Nice timing too as I bought the CBS TV series of "The Flash" last week (which that person was a part of) via Amazon and it came in the mail this afternoon.

They've pulled more from that earlier Flash series than I ever imagined. It wasn't like that series was a big hit, it died after one season.

Just finished this crossover and thoroughly enjoyed it. Though I have to say, when you put the characters together, Arrow really seems like a killjoy. :P

Well the original series was well made and most people have found memories of it. I'm sure people who watch it are watching the new Flash.

The original series suffered from scheduling issues on the network side and was preempted and shuffled way to often. Even the then network head later said that he screwed up with the show and should have renewed it.

If I'm remembering correctly, they started off trying to counter-program Flash against the Cosby Show and the Simpsons, so it got slaughtered. Then they shifted it half an hour, so it was an hour-long show running from 8:30-9:30, which was weird in a pre-time-shift era (still is weird, even today).
So it definitely had scheduling issues.

Anyway, they need to lighten up Arrow and tone down Cisco.
