Re: Power (Starz) - Series Discussion Thread
Haven't watched this yet, but I'm not a fan of Starz moving their original programming to Sunday's. I get why they're doing it, but I became quite content with Starz having Saturday night's pretty much to themselves (same with Cinemax Friday nights). Starz promotes their streaming services quite heavily as well so will be curious if the move has any impact to their ratings.
Will likely watch the season premiere sometime this week.

Wow, I guess the move to Sundays paid off. Power was the #1 cable show Sunday in the ratings.

Wow, Power renewed for 2 seasons through season 5.
I need to catch up. I've only had time to see season 1.

Wow, the gamble paid off. I watched the episode last night and thought it got off to a good start. I'm a little worried about them drawing this out over two more seasons and having enough story to tell.

"Power" Season 4 follows Ghost's arrest for murder, his fight for redemption, and the struggle between who he wants to be and who he really is.

Re: Power (Starz) - Series Discussion Thread
Started binge watching this one a few days ago, currently halfway through S4. It was brought up during one of the podcasts I watch & after reading up on it I found an article where 50 Cent claims the show was robbed of an Emmy due to racism so I decided to check it out...
Definitely entertaining, but it's a poor man's The Wire. The characters have no depth, it's all flash & no substance. All the characters flip very easily in most cases when they get busted. Watching the same 2 or 3 couples having sex to R&B music a couple of times each episode gets boring quick. The drama relies on one miscommunication / misunderstanding after another that could easily be avoided by a simple conversation, but without that there'd probably be no show. It's like a dramatic, violent, pornographic version of Three's Company.
