I've been to two Wizard cons and they've been at both. Green Ranger signing autographs as a "guest" and Doomkitty had a booth where she sells her cosplay pics.

I'd guess they are regulars at Wizard shows.

I was at the Minneapolis Wizard World and they were both judging the costume costume there, so I assume they are under some sort of contract. Plus the Green Ranger was utilized a LOT for someone who's a bit C-list even by con standards... he had four individual panel sessions (one a karate lesson), he was part of the kickoff event, and did an appearance at the Mall of America the day before.

She didn't look like that on last night's ep.

Her Power Girl was just sloppy and she looked fat not curvy.

Not a good look.

Top part doesn't fit right and looks like it has paper in it. Bottom looks like a sausage casing.

Re: Heroes of Cosplay - Season 1.5

I was thinking to myself that she did not look as good as I have seen her in the past. I think she has added a few pounds.

These guys are doing it right finally. Doing costumes that fit their look. Big props to Jesse for stepping up his game.
Carl just isn't doing it for me. I love the enthusiasm but he is a little over confident in his abilities I think and that's where he lacks better detail.

I'm starting to tune out Yaya. Every time we see her on camera it's like an advertisement for herself. Yes, let us know how long you've been doing this and what you doing this episode that is different from last. I know she doesn't think of herself any better than the others but for some reason it just gets to me when we have to hear just how great she is that she "has" to judge this contest or that one.

Re: Heroes of Cosplay - Season 1.5

It was neat seeing someone attempt the new Shazam costume, though I wish he'd done the normal comic book look instead of the Injustice videogame version. To give people a little frame of reference, here is Yaya cosplaying as Power Girl.

Yeah, Doomkitty did not look very good with that costume. Curves aren't a bad thing, seems like she's looked better based on other pics.

Re: Heroes of Cosplay - Season 1.5

I'd never even heard of Doomkitty until I saw her at the Minneapolis con last month. She was dressed as Velma from Scooby-Doo and her costume wasn't bad, but I honestly thought she was just a regular attendee when I saw her walking around. So I was surprised to discover she was some semi-famous 'elite cosplayer' with a big following when she showed up as one of the judges for the costume contest. To be honest, my impression of her in-person was more 'Rebel Wilson' than 'Christina Hendricks'... not that there's anything wrong with that, if that's your thing.

I looked up that Worbla stuff they use on the show and its freaking expensive. a small piece is like 25 bucks. the big pieces are like 80-100. it looks pretty cool, though.

It doesn't help that pretty much the only place to find it is on cosplay sites.
Wonderflex is nearly the same thing and much cheaper.

Maybe she was going for the Power Woman in Kingdom Come look?

Power Girl is a very popular costume, you could spend hours on Google checking out women cosplaying her. Her costume hasn't changed much over the years, which is a lot different than the other female heroines.

Is there a living person who's remotely proportionate to the way that character actually looks? I mean, even by the standards of comic characters, she's drawn as a gigantic male fantasy.

You've never met a blonde woman with fake breasts? They are a dime-a-dozen in certain cities of the United States.

Riki is back in this ep. She did the cool Rocketeer and Hellboy costumes in S1.0. Too bad she couldn't get the bow done for her Ashe costume. I hope we eventually get to see that. Her backup costume was good, considering.
Spoiler:

Jesse's Mandarin was cool, though I think he should have done more detailing on the rings after going through the trouble to cast them himself.
Spoiler:

Indra's Ahri costume (League of Legends is apparently very popular) would have been more impressive if she'd figured out how to get the tails to stand out.
Spoiler:

I LOVED that Holly and Jessica made a Skeksis costume and that they got to visit the Jim Henson company, though I felt the execution was a little lacking in a couple of respects. The head and neck looked weirdly off-center when Jessica was wearing it onstage. Somewhat understandable, since Jessica's arm was the neck, but I think had Holly been there she could have coached her on how to hold the head so it looked more realistic. And Jessica's actual head should have been camouflaged better--it kind of ruined the illusion.
Spoiler:

In the audience, it looked like that young snobby cosplayer from S1.0 was shown a couple of times. I forget her name. Oh yeah, Monika Lee.

Also, I don't see Victoria's name in the credits, so I guess we won't be seeing her and Jinyo this season.

Oh, and Yaya looked boobalicious, as always.
And it wasn't just Monika there. Sitting next to her was Jessica Nigri, so of course Syfy had to keep switching back to her POV constantly to find a way to get her on the show since they know she doesn't want to have anything to do with the show. And I'm sure Monika felt the same way after the whole controversy from the first half of the season.

YaYa is top heavy like Power Girl but her hips are too narrow.

Google "Vegas PG Cosplay" . She is one of the better PG Cosplayers. She even has variants.

I'd like to see someone with no tits and a huge ass do it and see the reaction it gets.

I think it just wasn't the best costume for her, because she's worn things that leave just as little to the imagination that she rocked. The "paper" is probably some sort of girdle/spanx thing, but the spandex/lycra doesn't do a very good job hiding that. I still think she looks pretty great, but I have seen her in more flattering costumes in the little searching I've done of her. While I don't know much about cosplaying, I'm all about a female cosplayer of note standing out a bit because of her body type, as most of the other notable female cosplayers tend to have a very similar frame.

Larkin Love makes a good Power Girl. I think she has the right frame for the very out there proportions of Power Girl. She's an porn star (know that if you do a search on her --you've been warned).

Yeah, that was the season finale. It's weird... this batch was six episodes like the first run, but it felt much shorter.

Wow, it sure felt short. At least they finished with some great boobage from Rikki.
