If I thought Lost was complete crap should I even bother with The Leftovers? Does it have an actual satisfying ending or one of Lindelof's "it was about the characters and the journey" lame excuses that he pulled out of his ass?

It may not be for you.

I was a big fan of LOST in the beginning, but ultimately I liked it less and less and found the last couple of seasons and the finale unsatisfying.

I loved The Leftovers. But you should go into it knowing that it never really answers "Why?" There is some weird shit that happens and there is often no explanation given for why or how it happens. Some things happen that you think are leading to something end up just kind of being dropped. It's like a dream, where some things seem important and symbolic, and others things are just random, and logic is unreliable. I think they would have liked to have another season or two to tell the story and fill some things out more, but they had to make do with the time they had.

But in this case, "it was about the characters and the journey" turned out to be true and really satisfying for me. There are many scenes that just wrecked me emotionally. The final episode, for example, leaves aside the mysteries (mostly) and is all about the characters and I found it absolutely beautiful.

YMMV.

This is my first watch. It's such a good show, but also pretty dark. I've got one season left, and I have no idea how it's going to turn out.

The last third of this season of The Legends of Tomorrow. It was a bit of a chore to watch, but ended well.

I got a month free trial of CraveTV+HBO to watch GOT but decided to pay for another month, so I'm trying to make the most of it:

Star Trek Discovery S2
Westworld S2 (bailed after 3 episodes. If I have to ask myself "am I too stupid to watch this?" I know I'm not the problem)
Handmaid's Tale S1, now on S2 (not really binging, way too depressing, 1 ep/night)
Deadwood movie is next.

Yeah, I subscribed to Crave + HBO a few months ago for Game of Thrones, and decided to keep it for awhile. It's honestly a pretty good value (which is very surprising for a Canadian streaming service). I used to pay $14.99 US a month for HBO Now and for $20 Canadian I get HBO plus a bunch of Showtime, Comedy Central, Hulu and some network television shows, plus Doom Patrol from DC Universe. Just wish they'd put their damn app on Roku. I'm finally watching Handmaid's Tale too, and you're right, it's too depressing to binge, but I'm watching one episode a night and it's riveting, can't believe I never tried watching it until now.

Ive been watching Parts 2 and 3 of Elseworlds of Arrow and Supergirl.

For a short story arc its fun to watch through and alot better than the Crisis on Earth X or whatever.

My family and I just finished Castle Season 7, and it was better than I remembered. My 19 year old daughter wondered why some people were a little critical of this season.

It may not be as good as some of the earlier seasons, but it's really close.

I just finished Handmaid's Tale (well S1, S2, and S3E1-2) and watched the Deadwood movie, and I'm done with Crave for now. There's just not enough I want to watch there to pay for it monthly. Netflix and Amazon Prime Video are enough for me, especially since I figured out how to get Amazon Prime US on the Firestick. See you next year Crave!

Oh, and the Crave app (at least on the Firestick) is poop compared to Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. Fix the damn subtitles and stop asking me to go on my PC and enter a bloody code so I can continue. :grumble:

Futurama Season 10 (Rewatch)

I forgot how the show ended as it's been awhile since I watched the last few seasons.
This show as always really good at pulling on the heartstrings - the ending reminded me
Spoiler:
of a new twilight zone episode crossed with Farscape's The Locket.

All great shows so I didn't mind that.

I'm finishing up S6. Finding the quality is falling off. Maybe it's just the known problems on the set so I'm looking for the lack of chemistry I wouldn't have noticed before. I did like the 70's episode. That was a hoot. Ryan and Esposito in their Starsky and Hutch garb. Time Will Tell with Morgan Grimes, Like Father Like Daughter, Belly Of The Beast and Veritas all solid episodes. Most of the rest were good but paint by the numbers procedural.

I did notice Beckett in her wedding dress in the extras. She's not using the same dress the designer gave her in Dressed To Kill.

Even tho I had already watched S2 of Designated Survivor I went back and watched 8 of the last episodes to familiarize myself with how it ended before watching S3. I really liked S3 and hope there is a S4.
Before that I watched all of S1 and S2 of Bad Blood.
