Started rewatching My Name is Earl a couple weeks ago. In that time I've already burned through the first two seasons and I'm already 3-4 episodes into season 3.

With all the revivals going around, they really should revisit this one to give it some closure. It's just a good natured show with a positive message. It's probably a hard sell these days though. Of course, if this followed real time, it went off the air nearly 10 years ago. That's a long ass time to finish off a <200 item list.

Almost done with the first 6 seasons of GOT. Do I think it's great? No. But it's damn entertaining (like... well... "24").

And I like to read online reviews after I watch an episode. I can confirm that hardcore GOT fans AND the writers/critics are batshit crazy. Pretty much every episode gets 4+ stars and in the one instance where I saw/read a 3 star review of an S5 episode, half the comments were whining about the "bad" review and "why don't you pick a writer who actually likes GOT!".

It's like a fucking cult.

The Chilling Adventures Of Sabrinia - Loved it, can't wait for next season.
Quantum Leap Seasons 1-4 - second time watching it, this time with the new dvds with the music back, it really makes a difference
Mchales Navy seasons 1-4, I liked it but my enthusiasm for it waned and I was glad it was over

Finished S2 of Chuck.
Saw Band Of Brothers 1 -10. That is the meaning of sacrifice. Having been to Normandy and seeing the cemetery you realize what that generation went through. My father fought in Korea. They didn't have a Bastogne but they spent weeks outside in the cold of winter. He told me a story of having to eat frozen ketchup because that's all there was.

Definitely a slow burn but I enjoyed the show a lot overall. I like the return of some of these 'limited' series on Netflix with a distinct story to tell and not trying to keep a show going longer than it needs to

Yeah, banged out Hill House last month. Totally agree, self contained limited series that is well done is very satisfying.

Doing Strike Back now. Mindless but fun action. Gonna record an upcoming season in this Cinemax preview.

One episode to go after watching both seasons of Norsemen over the last week.

Very funny show. I'm glad a friend recommended it, as I had never heard of it.

Ran through season 3 of My Name is Earl. Overall the show is pretty damn consistent in quality, but I'd forgotten all about season 3.
Earl spends half a season in prison and then another half dozen in a coma and then he fell in love, got engaged and married in the final handful.
What the fuck were the writers thinking?
Still remained funny, but to cram so many gimmick arcs into the same season was overkill.

It's like a different show. I started buying the DVDs back in the day but found them unwatchable so I refrained from watching the show until they added the music back.

Finished S3 of Chuck. About half way is where the series started suffering for me. I watched it until the end but the whole defective intersect, Sarah banging Shaw, everyone and their brother finding out, on top of Chuck's incessant whining, it started to hurt the entertainment quality. Unfortunately with the show constantly on the bubble and budget cuts they were forced to do things quickly to get certain points in before it was cancelled.

I had minor knee surgery last Wednesday so I've been doing a lot of sitting around. I normally would not have had time for 2 full season of Chuck and 10 hours of BoB.

I watched the trailer and it's hilarious. I just finished Narcos S4 so I'll probably start watching Norsemen tonight!

Speaking of Norse men, the New Zealand series "The Almighty Johnsons" (Netflix) is also very funny (4 brothers who are essentially the living incarnations of Norse Gods).

I really enjoyed it.

I stopped Narcos during S3, but may pick it up again.

Will check out The Almighty Johnsons. Thanks!

Watching Mayans MC (FX) and should have it finished this week. Wasn't expecting much, but not nearly as bad as I was anticipating.

Re: Last Show You Binged?

My wife and I have been watching Once Upon a Time since mid-October. We're on Season 4 now, Season 5 is on it's way from an Ebay seller, should be here shortly. After watching Grimm, Once Upon a Time seems pale by comparison, although we have developed an interest in continuing with it. The one thing I dislike about S4 is that Snow has turned into a whiny little drama queen and I hope she cuts that shit out as we're both getting kind of tired of it. Other than that, the story is engaging and makes us want to find out what happens next. I need to start shopping for Season 6, but having a matched set means shopping for a copy complete with slipcover. Should be able to find it on Ebay, I've been lucky so far (knock on wood).
