Back when S1 came out, I wasn't sure I was going to come back for S2 but I'm pretty glad I did.
One of my biggest complaints when I saw S1 - and it's something I see quite often in 'reboots' - is that I recognize dialogue and situations from the original animated incarnation of the show and it drains a lot of the joy out of it for me when I come back to these shows to see something new and some sort of progression. In that way, S1 did not check the box for me.

However, I really liked S2 and I'm glad I decided to give this show another shot. Same sort of thing happened when the Patrick Warburton live show came out and it got canceled after 7 episodes, but when I finally came back to it years later, I found it to be vastly underrated and had a different kind of charm of its own. This new season is like that for me too.

So I do hope that it gets an S3 - just enough of the original cookiness and tone and still new situations. The successfully built on some of the scenarios they did introduce in S1 that, at the time, I didn't like much.

I've only seen the first two eps of the current season of Gotham. After Finals, I'm gonna a binge it.

Without giving away the plot, one review I read before watching criticized the show for not being 'funny enough' which seemed like a bizarre comment to me when I watched this show.
It clicked for me right away and I didn't see any reason this show would be filled with laugh out loud humor. It is fairly contemplative and there are a few subtle moments of humor sprinkled throughout.
There's another show on network television that has a somewhat similar theme to it that is much funnier. However, I found this to really be to my liking. I don't see any need for a season 2 and it sounds like there probably wasn't really one planned from the outset.

Boston Legal Season 5 - don't think I ever watched this season in its initial run - really not sure if I saw part or all of season 4 but I gave myself the benefit of the doubt there.

A few more Castle Season 4. The Blue Butterfly which was fun. The two-parter with the CIA and Jennifer Beals as the old flame, rogue CIA agent. Then Once Upon A Crime with a young Meghan Markle. They got a 9, 8.9, 8.8 and 8.3 on respectively on IMDB. The MM episode was pretty run of the mill. The first 3 were highly entertaining.

A couple of web series on Amazon, Bunkheads and AFK. Both were quick fun watches. I found these after finishing the last season of Bosch. Now I am on the hunt for the nex Binge.

Between May 1st and 10th, I watched all of Game of Thrones. Loved it for most of that run, but the last season or so has been less great. Looking forward to watching the final two episodes “live”.

Watched the first seven episodes of Twin Peaks The Return yesterday. As soon as I finished episode seven I saw online that Peggy Lipton had passed away. RIP.

Just binged s4 of Lucifer on Netflix. Was going to watch an ep a week to savor the 10 eps but ended up blazing through it. :up:

This show was saved by Netflix and the short 10ep season works well.
