Re: Last Show You Binged?

Just started watching Shark Tank this season so I set the TiVo to record all reruns. I've probably watched a few dozen episodes the past couple weeks.

Also started Scorpion last week. Already watching episode 10 right now.

Re: Last Show You Binged?

Got this for Christmas, started the first three episodes last night.

Would have preferred the DVD's so I could take them on business trips. Love binging TV while traveling.

Ground Floor

Powered through the last 5 episodes tonight. Some funny stuff, but I know this isn't the type of comedy that has a lot to talk about.

and Briga Heelan is so freaking hot. She has the type of figure I like. Voluptuous, but not fat or chubby.

Re: Last Show You Binged?

I just marathoned Season 1 & 2 of Marvel's Agents of SHIELD. Last year I decided to pass on this show due to the initial reviews being so awful. And the first 4-5 episodes were like a bad SyFy Channel movie. But then things started to pick up. I'm so glad I watched this show. It's been a blast.

Sons of Anarchy. Just finished season one. Sorry I didn't watch this one earlier, but at least I can watch on my own time.

Re: Last Show You Binged?

Just finished the entire run of How I Met Your Mother. My kids and I were interested in Cristin Milioti after starting A to Z so we watched the last season, then powered back through the whole thing.

Watched the first seven episodes of Banshee season 2 but am taking a break for the free STARZ weekend. Watching The White Queen now.

Watched this during a free Showtime weekend and really liked it.

Re: Last Show You Binged?

a few more eps of Blacklist S1 tonight. One of them was very difficult to watch. Liz's father was dying of cancer which we just went through, and anyone who's been through it will tell you they wish at times they could just put a pillow over their face and end the agony.

Re: Last Show You Binged?

I decided I'd finally check out the first episode of TRANSPARENT after hearing the critical raves and it's golden globe wins. Didn't expect to like it as much as I did. Really well done, funny (not hilarious) and unique with great performances. Ended up watching the whole season in the last day or so. Looking forward to season 2.

Homeland Season 5. Watched all 12 episodes this weekend. Really good imo. Quinn needs his own show.

Black Sails Season 1

Just finished episodes 5-8 on StarzPlay via my XBox 360. I do subscribe to Starz.

I didn't finish season 1 when it aired on Starz last year, but was intending to get back to it. There was too much on and I knew I could come back to this again with On demand and StarzPlay at my luxury. I stopped at episode 5, so today I decided to re-watch episode 5 and power through the rest.

Episode 8 was probably IMO the best of the season. Lots of action at sea and a really great sea battle between Flint's boat and some Spaniards.

Honestly, it was a little bit of a rough season to get through despite only 8 episodes. They tried to focus more on characters and plot rather than Pirate action and I think with such a short season, it probably bored many of you.

I see that no one has bothered to comment in the Black Sails season 2 episode 1 thread yet. Either no one is interested in season 2, doesn't have Starz or is waiting for others to comment 1st.

Re: Last Show You Binged?

I watched episodes 3-9 of Gotham the past couple of days. I'll watch the rest of the episodes tomorrow to be caught up to the season. It started really slow but I'm hooked.

Re: Last Show You Binged?

Almost done Season 3 of Mad Men. What a great show, as its better then I expected as I thought it was just a satire. The show really delves deep into the characters with the backdrop of the turbulent 1960's, as you almost need to watch every episode twice because you miss so many little things.

Re: Last Show You Binged?

just finished the WGN show Manhattan Season 1, it did get renewed, so I decided to dig into S1 after I Tivo'd a Marathon over the holidays. The show had some good moments, and a decent premise about the community of scientists and the making of the bomb. Was a very slow and deliberate show, there's a good show in there somewhere and i will watch S2 but its just ok.

Since Salem, another WGN show appeared on Netflix, I would guess this might find its way there at some point before S2. Worth a watch if you like science and Wartime period piece.

I recommend going back and watching the Coen Bros version of The Ladykillers after Sons of Anarchy for Opie's sake.

Re: Last Show You Binged?

Watched all of The Fall S2, and BBC's Happy Valley on Netflix. Enjoyed them both very much for the interesting things they had to say about the male / female dynamic in these types of shows, as well as living with the choices we make.
