Re: The 100 -- "Earth Kills" -- 4/02/14

For a CW show (which I never watch) I am actually liking it. They went and got a "Lizzy" character within 3 episodes. Killer fog and some back story.
If they can continue like this it should be good for at least one more season.

They should change the title as they count down ... (Like the white board in Galactica.)

(Also didn't see that coming as well.)

Re: The 100 -- "Earth Kills" -- 4/02/14

if the next couple of episodes are interesting like this one..this could be a decent show

they have setup 2 storylines for the mom...the snitching on dad thing and her coming to earth with that other hotpocket

then you got the son of isiah washington getting killed by small wonder (well he thought he was dead anyways, so i guess no big deal)

i expect the next episodes to be the standard fighting on the kids side, perhaps the space station adult side will be interesting

Re: The 100 -- "Earth Kills" -- 4/02/14

ATX, it does feel like what should be the A and B story on this show have been flipped, as some of the most interesting bits of the show are our glimpses of the day to day life on the space station / flashbacks that led to The 100 being jettisoned to earth. I feel this show is a bit underrated, however, the ratings seem okay (I am no longer going to say for a CW show, because NBC and even ABC sometimes have 18-49 / total audience ratings that match or are even worse than what CW shows achieve, and it has Arrow as a lead-in, so it should get a 2nd season pick-up).

Re: The 100 -- "Murphy's Law" -- 4/09/14

Gotta admit. This show is pretty damn good. I have to wonder if they will get the 300 down to earth this season or wait until mid-second season and then get some "grounders" vs The 100 (+300) action going.

I assume the later. It's not a bad show, but damn, the 100 are annoying. The dudes all look the same, except for the Asian nerd (nice to see the stereotypes are alive and well in the future).

Re: The 100 -- "Murphy's Law" -- 4/09/14

Clarke was annoying as hell:

"He killed Wells! He should be punished!"
"Wait! What are you doing? Let him go!"
"Banish him!"

Jesus, girl, shut up!

I was hopeful they were actually going to kill that dude. He's such a cartoonish bad guy.

One thing is for sure. He has the best peripheral vision of any of the 100 ! Could his eyes be any further apart ? Straight up Twilight character.

Getting to orbit takes a lot of fuel so payloads are minimized as much as possible.

It's fun to watch him get beat up over and over in The 100 and in Continuum.

It's the future. It's powered by a controlled matter/anti-matter reaction.

I liked the stuff on the Ark, and that there wasn't a last-minute reprieve.

The 100 on the ground are still all a bunch of d-bags.

Re: The 100 -- "Twilight's Last Gleaming" -- 4/16/14

You think they can see it from up there?
Clarke: I don't know. I hope so.
Can you wish on this kind of shooting star?
Forget it.
I wouldn't even know what to wish for.
What about you?
[Grunting]
You should sleep.
How?
We make the best choices that we can...
And then we put our faith in a forgiving God.
Do you think we deserve to be forgiven?
Did you see that?

I'm out. Don't care about any of the characters.
