Re: The 100 -- "His Sister's Keeper" -- 4/23/14

I'm curious about the grounders.

I'm surprised by all the floating. The space station has extremely limited resources so presumably the bodies would have to be recycled as fertilizer.

Daumn! They went the extra mile on the torture scene. Didn't think they would do it.

The Earthers speak English. How convenient.

Episode 8 of 13

Aired last night

Thought it was pretty good. I've been enjoying this show. The adult characters have been relegated to minor supporting characters, but I've been enjoying the conflict on the planet and seeing the 100 self destruct.

I can see how some of you here may not like the characters or not want to devote the time to this.

I dig Eliza Taylor. She's a nice find by The CW along with most of the female cast of Reign.

Re: The 100 -- "Day Trip" -- 5/07/14

It's a decent enough show. It's sort of got a Lord of the Flies/Romeo and Juliet vibe thing going on.

So they've got guns now. That should make things interesting.

Re: The 100 -- "Day Trip" -- 5/07/14

Why was Clarke suddenly defending Bellamy? He's been a raging asshole since they landed, has imprisoned and tortured people, makes completely selfish decisions, and is indirectly responsible for the deaths of hundreds of people on the Ark. As far as leaders go, he is pretty much the worst. But for inexplicable reasons, Clarke has decided that he has been their savior and they would all be dead without him? WTF?

They are still kids... and she is going through a hell of a lot... shit ton of emotions. Finding out her mom was the reason behind her fathers death, Flin having a girlfriend...

I like the show and like I said Eliza is easy on the eyes.

Glad that the show was picked up - wonder if it stays with Arrow on Wednesday nights when it returns the second half of next season? or will the show get moved to another night because the CW would want Flash to team up with its brother Arrow and make Wednesdays a powerful night for the network.

Re: The 100 -- "Day Trip" -- 5/07/14

I suspect they will move The 100 to a different night, but it would be nice if they left it alone. I love comic book based shows and films, however, I feel it would be overwhelming to have back to back DC CW Network comic shows. Having said this...so many DC based comic properties are making their way to the tube that it is inevitable that we will get days with back to back comic shows, so perhaps instead of having two superhero shows on one night, they could do something like pairing Arrow up with iZombie, and Flash with Constantine, or something like that.

Edited to add: Did not realize that Constantine is an NBC show, not a CW production, but I still hope we get nights where at 8 where you can enjoy a superhero show (Flash/The Arrow), and at 9 you can dive into a supernatural comics show (regardless of the network that puts on the show).

Maybe not great leadership, but he provided some leadership while she was in overwhelmed teen angst mode. Fortified the camp, got them somewhat organized to protect against Grounders.

Now that she is stepping up and taking over, the key is to find a role for him that he will be content with and not make trouble, second in command and head of security. Win/win.

^^^ That is what the star of the series Eliza Taylor looks like cleaned up. She looks really good. Australia has been bringing it with the hotties. 1st Poppy Montgomery, then Yvonne Strahovski, and then Adelaide Kane and now Eliza.

CW has a bunch of Australian actresses. Kane's cast mate Caitlin Stasey (Kenna) and Jessica De Gouw from Arrow and Dracula are also from down under.

So did everyone in that pod die? Kind of weird they had no space station scenes in this episode, though it was a good episode.

I still think that the mutiny/attempted coup leaders jettisoned some sort of smaller escape pod from the Exodus that allowed them to use the explosion from the crash landing to land unseen...too much time was spent to get the characters into the Exodus ship to break free of the Ark for them to have just been killed off-screen. The skeleton or two that we saw, probably the equivalent of the Star Trek Red Shirts, as it was pointed out that there were a ton of worker bees that outnumber the ruling class on the Ark, making it much easier to pull off a mutiny.

I do love that the very folks who claim to have hijacked the Exodus for the good of the common person on the Ark are so quick to use the folks they claim to want to help as so much cannon fodder. As long as I am just throwing out unsubstantiated assumptions, I bet the mutineers are going to hook up with the grounders (interesting how tribal the grounders are, you have the forest folk, mountain folk, etc.).

Finally, the bridge explosion from the leaking fuel on the crashed ship was pretty spectacular, especially given the limited budget for CW shows.

Re: The 100 -- "The Calm" -- 5/28/14

So I just watched this episode.
Clarke is a badass. The way she covered that grounders mouth and looked him in the eye as he died ... Also enjoyed her run through the forest
Curious to see what happened to Monty and what he saw. Was it Finn hanging from a tree like what happened to Clarke ?

I'm waiting for it to pop up on Netflix. I stopped watching because I didn't like the pilot or the lead girl but with all the good things I've heard I'm going to try again.
