So the only guy that knows hes the gov is dead? Did Carol ever see the Gov last season? I have a feeling they are going to cross paths now ....

Am I evil for saying that I wouldn't care at all if the Governor went back to the prison, killed them all in a battle, and the show just became about him? Talk about a twist.

It's pretty clear that they aren't going the obvious route. I mean, I watched the previews and everything, but I think the writers are going to "surprise" us.

I can't believe they turned the Governor into a good guy! I just don't buy the turn. - People last week.

It's odd that only really hot lesbians are surviving the ZA.
Going into the biter pit head first is a lousy way to die.
Considering the Gov has only been in the new camp for what seems like a few days, the others have really taken to him as leader.

Better than last week's snoozefest but only because I knew it was leading to the prison. Next week looks fun but I'm still tired of the Governor. Him attacking the prison again is stupid but obviously the writers don't know what to do with a character who already should have died. They got rid of Lori and Shane when they stopped being useful. Too bad we have to sit through a rehash of the prison attack again instead of a new direction but maybe we'll get lucky and he'll finally die this time.

Disagree with your sarcasm.
This was a MUCH better episode than last week's where they tried to make you feel sorry for the Gov.
At least THIS time, we KNOW he's a total and complete evil bastard. The cool thing about it is that they are giving us reasons why and how he is a completely evil bastard and his rationale. That goes a long way in telling a story.

These two episodes were basically an origin story for the Governor. Except not. But the whole gist is that he was always a crazy fucker. There's no reason for that except to showcase the actor in the role. He is genuinely excellent but he's stuck with an uninteresting character. I'd like it if both he and Rick died in a one-on-one showdown that rivals the final moments of the titular duel in Freddy vs Jason.

Although, the lesbian angle is a nice surprise ...
So ... let the moral debates begin. Did he kill Martinez because he was afraid Martinez would talk about their past? Or did he kill Martinez because Martinez admitted he was weak and needed help? (He kept saying "I don't want that" so I don't think it was a power play at that point.)
I think he killed #2 (forget the guy's name) because he saw the guy was in favor of democracy -- meaning he was not willing or able to make the hard decisions needed to protect the group. The Gov saw this as a threat.
I guess the question I have is this: is he attacking the prison to save his new people or is he simply using the new group as an army for his own revenge?
From the sneak peek it looks like it is to save his people (since it appears he is giving the main group a chance to leave).
Yes, the Gov is a rotten, evil bastard ... I don't idolize him (last week somebody suggested that's why many of us were "on his side"). I don't condone many of his decisions, but I can understand why he made many (not all) of them.
