When I heard the costume was leaked, I was hoping for more than a profile headshot. But so far, so good.

Come on... how are you going to have TWO things this great looking and not have them be apart of the overall universe. They need Amell and Gustin in the JLA movie.

not sure if it is the lighting or what, but i like that it is sort of a darker more muted red, instead of something super bright that stands out.

Because DC/WB has no idea what they're doing

Yeah, Flash is supposed to be bright red. This dark red looks more like Daredevil. I don't really mind it though. If Flash is a part of Arrow's darker take, then it makes sense. I don't get my panties in a twist about little things like that like some people do complaining about the darker colors on Superman's costume in the Man of Steel movie.

I love the lightning bolt, that's a great design element and will look wicked if it's on his chest as well. I like the cut-out design around his face.

The muted colors, how original. Are people not allowed to wear primary colors anymore? Pay attention next time you're in a store. Plenty of people go around in bright colors. Maybe not entire outfits, but many people wear normal red or yellow solid t-shirts.

That choice for color is going to make it much more difficult to distinguish Barry from his arch-nemesis, Professor Zoom aka the Reverse Flash. Zoom's costume is a complete inversion of Barry's color scheme.

seeing people on the street wearing bright colors is not the same as having them on television, where they are conscious of how things can look.

Zoom would still work. CW's Flash is still red with yellow lightning bolt. Zoom would be yellow with red lightning bolt. It still works inverted.

The costume's looking good so far, I'm fine with the darker red tone. I typically don't really mind colors being more muted for live action shows or movies as it just makes a bit more sense and is easier to pull off without looking dumb. I only really care about changes if it's something drastic.

Looks good! Although the Spidey pose doesn't help it.

I love it for the most part. The worst thing about the photo is the terrible pose.

WB/DC would be insane not to use TV Green Arrow and Flash in a movie. When you are already short on time to introduce many characters, this would help.

Considering that these characters were part of the JL during Smallville and then scrapped for updated versions, I'm not going to hold my breath that they'll be reincorporated into a JL feature.

Re: CW’s ‘The Flash’ To Do Stand-Alone Pilot Instead Of ‘Arrow’ Backdoor Pilot Episod

I didn't watch Smallville past the first few seasons, but wasn't Bart Allen the Flash on that show? Bart is a different character from Barry.

I would say Barry/Flash will almost certainly be in the Justice League movie. Whether or not they recast him or not is debatable, but Flash is one of the "Big Six" and will almost certainly be there. Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Flash, and Aquaman are the Big Six. If any of them get replaced, it will be Aquaman with Captain Marvel/Shazam, like they did in the new animated movie Justice League: War.

I really like it. It fits in the "Arrow" universe well and is very clearly The Flash. I like it as much as I liked the original live action series suit.

Yes. He was Bart Allen on Smallville. He carried a bunch of fake IDs with different names including Barry Allen, Wally West and Jay Garrick. He was "The Flash" in his first appearance but became "Impulse" later on. This was because of a brewing Flash feature film that never materialized.
