I could see them splitting it, putting them both at 8PM on different nights to boost a 9PM show. Either show can survive independent of the other. Vampire Diaries and its sister show are split, after all.

That suit is sleek as hell.

While that suit is pretty good looking IMO, it's fake.

Why not? It definitely looks like concept art that CW could have made. Maybe not the final design, but definitely at least early concept art.
I got the picture from another message board, and the guy who posted it said it was on the Flash Facebook page. I don't use Facebook myself, so I couldn't check how authentic it was, so I just assumed it was the official Flash page and not some fan page.

I don't like the new look for Jay Garrick at all. Give me a metal bowl on his head any day. I hope they use the new 52 costume for Barry. The Reverse-Flash is supposed to be a big part of this series, they need a costume they can invert for him.

Tom Cavanagh (Ed) is the latest addition to the CW pilot The Flash, based on the DC comic. The project, from Warner Bros TV and Berlanti Productions, is an origin story about Barry Allen, aka The Flash (Grant Gustin), a Central City assistant police forensics investigator who arrives in Starling to look into a series of unexplained robberies that may have a connection to a tragedy in his past. Cavanagh will play Harrison Wells, a rock star in the world of physics and the mind and money behind Central City’s S.T.A.R. Labs Particle Accelerator. He becomes a pariah after the lab’s explosion, but he charts his path to redemption when he discovers that his failed experiment had the unintended consequence of creating the world’s fastest man.

Unlike you I can't watch every TV show that hits the air. I pick and choose and dump crappy shows as well. If it sucks (like Arrow started to), I'll dump it. But I'll watch at least the first few.
Your telling me you've never watched a show because of An actor or actress you liked?

From what I've heard, Hollywood doesn't like using Lycra bodysuits as costumes since they are too revealing and most actors don't have the physiques for them. If you check out the cosplay scene, there are lots of newer costumes that duplicate the comic book costumes down to a tee. Hollywood just doesn't like using actual comic book designs.

Awesome
John Wesley Shipp, who played Barry Allen/the Flash in the titular 1990s live-action CBS program, will have a mysterious role in the CW and Warner Bros. Television’s pilot of the same name.
While exact details of the part are being kept under wraps, the CW did say that it is intended to be a recurring guest star if the “Arrow” spinoff is picked up to series.
Grant Gustin plays Barry Allen in the reboot, which is based on the DC Comics characters. Other stars include Candice Patton, Rick Cosnett, Danielle Panabaker, Carlos Valdes, Tom Cavanagh and Jesse L. Martin.
Pilot is penned by Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Geoff Johns and directed by David Nutter. Berlanti, Kreisberg and Nutter are exec producing; Melissa Kellner Berman is co-exec producing.

Who knows maybe Clark could have given Bart a run for his money on Smallville if he wasn't rocking the jeans and flannel duds.

Yeah, that is kind of neat. I may finally break out the original DVDs soon.

I dunno, I would rather have a less defined suit that was more in style of the original series with JWS (less muscle tone).

FANTASTIC NEWS!! Loved when Smallville brought past Superman cast members to the show. And Shipp was great in the Flash.

What next, Hamill as trickster?
Shit... now the CW's flash show BETTER have Mark Hamill. With his old age, perhaps he should play Captain Boomerang or something though.

Hamill guest starring on Flash for even just one episode would be HUGE.
And I got this feeling that Flash might be even more successful than Arrow (and Arrow's success is nothing to sneeze at, 4.11 million viewers for a CW pilot of a second tier superhero).

John Wesley Shipp should play Jay Garrick since Shipp was the original live-action Flash and Garrick was the original Flash.
