that alternate beginning was only used for the movie if I recall correctly.
Loved the dance scene. Still like the "Shpoopy" scene better when Peter played for the Pats. |
They used the alternate intro for Road to Rhode Island (S2) and Road to Europe (S3) in addition to Road to Rupert and the Movie.
And lest we forget the other alternate intros (falling down the stairs, and the Police Squad! intro) |
And the Law & Order intro.
|
I liked the fart joke.
|
As usual if the episode focuses on Brian and Stewie it turns out to be pretty decent. The Peter subplot was lame, it seems like they only try to write him acting like a baby or child anymore. I felt the Gene Kelly bit was just lazy writting, that went way too long. However, it ended very strongly and I loved the car-jacking.

TV Dinner
The TV Dinner scene is from season 1 of punky brewster (intro changed somewhere along the line)
I dont' think the Pizza one is Charles in Charge. I checked 3 different intros on UTube and nadda. I love stupid things like this. they drive me crazy till I get them all figured out. and then the Letter... I can see it in my head, but can't remember it. |
D'oh-eth
Sorry... Missed the post by dgmayor about number 3.... looks like the Doors AND the Pizza AND the Glove are all Laverne and Shirley. guess I was expecting too much diversity :-P
So that just leaves the Mailbox / Letter Scene to figure out. |
I think the best part of the episode was when Peter was watching Cheers. My brother and I were talking while I was at work today and that episode came up in conversation. He did the "Norm!!!...and Peter...Yeahhhh..." line in a near perfect Peter Griffin voice and I burst out laughing. My co-workers and I had been discussing the compliment sandwich style of management at lunch so perhaps that had something to do with why I found it so funny.
Speaking of Family Guy, my brother's birthday is coming up in March and last year I got him the big talking Stewie doll. I want to get him the talking Peter but I don't know if it ever was released. Has anyone seen it out? |
I've seen it in Ottawa, Ontario - one of those funky music shops that sells things like Jesus and Marylin Manson Bobble Heads and all the cool junk like that (Sunrise Records) The location doesn't help you, but at least you know it exists... and it's freakin huge.
It's gotta be somewhere on the weeb. |
For me, the "groaner" joke was about life kicking Dana Plato's @$$. When Brian made some reference to the dog Holocaust and Stewie made a punchline about controlling the World Bank was my laugh-out-loud-but-that's-so-wrong moment.

"Peter's Two Dads"
Spoiler:
Originally Aired: February 11, 2007 |
 They are killing off all my favorite secondary characters!
Mr. Weed, the Baudville brothers and now this... I'm sure there are others. |
"You bring the TV back?" "No, I Sold it for crack." that reminded me of Requiem.
|
The visual of what Stewie told Rupert about Lois beating him was hilarious:lol:
|
I thought it was a rather weak episode. I can't even think of one LOL moment to post about.
|
What a twisted episode; perhaps the most out there I've seen the show get. I loved it.
In less than 30 minutes, we had: - Peter smoking crack - Mother Theresa OD'ing - Child abuse - Stewie fantasizing about some S&M action with his mother - Peter vomiting Tons of laugh-out-loud moments, with many coupled with, "Oh my god, did they just say/do that?" |

I thought the whole Star Wars bit with his "fake" dad, Obi-Wan, and Yoda was funny... and then absolutely hilarious when Hayden Christensen walked in!
 |
"Step on my cubes!"

I thought the episode had a ton of great laughs.
|
Yeah, I also found it to be very funny. One of the most solid episodes of the season for me. Now... STEP ON MY CUBES!
|
I couldn't stop laughing during the Mother Teresa ODing scene. I've got a bad feeling I'm going to burn for that one.
|
"Where did you even get crack?"
"From blacks." "What?" "Yeah, behind Black's Hardware Store, I bought it off some white guy." |
I liked the airport runway filled with beer bottles.
