In short, it was a parody of the medal ceremony at the end of A New Hope with Peter going to accept the medal for saving the bartender from the fire. They even copied the end credits and music from Star Wars.

I loved it when Peter giggled when he saw Artoo-Deetoo.

Thought it was a pretty poor episode overall, just bleh. The only joke I really liked was the nickel shaking sound as Lois and Peter had sex. I just couldn't stand the structure of this episode. I was like cool a Quagmire episode, damn the chicken is back, wait no it's Peter trying to be remembered, wait a plot where he is blind, oh wait back to him trying to remembered. I know family guy does a lot of references, but damn, they really went over the top. I mean they maybe introduced 3 or 4 new jokes, everything else was referential. I liked the other episodes, but I think the show is declining. Maybe I just don't care for this style anymore.

Give this last American Dad episode a shot. Definitely the best episode of the series so far, and the raccoon chase is so funny that I thought I was actually watching Family Guy for a while there.

How about creating an American Dad thread if you guys have so much to talk about? I, for one, haven't watched American Dad yet, and would like to visit the Family Guy thread without having to sift through spoilers to a different show.

That, or at least change the thread topic to notify others that two shows are being discussed.

What episode had the first chicken fight? I wanted to show it to someone, but I don't know the season or episode name.

It's actually the episode called "DaBoom", from the first season.

You have the title correct...and it was the Y2K episode. We were both wrong though...season 2. Just looked it up at familyguy.com.

Anyone else a little mad that Family Guy is getting bumped from the schedule for at least the next two weeks for Episode II and Nascar? Fox spends a fortune promoting "Animation Domination" only to pull it after 3 weeks, which is less time than they spent showing the promos. Why not show Episode II this Wednesday so people can watch it before heading out to the midnight screenings?

I had a friend over who had never seen Family Guy. He didn't get the Chicken fight. I tried to explain that it had no meaning, but the joke was that it served no purpose to further the story line and went on long enough to be funny. He still didn't get it but I was laughing my ass off.

He was telling the bartender he was fading in and out when Lois was watching. "I was watching and I was wondering...which one is the funny guy?"

On a side note, I also thought the ending was awesome. It was the best one so far this season. Same with "American Dad" which I still don't really like.

personally i thought the scrubs dig was funny, and i love scrubs.

second, i am surprised that no one has mentioned Cleveland as an auctioner. I felt that was the biggest LOL moment for me when he got hit and started talking slow.

Great episode. Family Guy is back.

Thanks to the crew for all the nods to previous seasons as a "thank you" to the faithfull. It's risky, because as someone else mentioned a newcomer will not get it. The chicken fight was several minutes of virtual dead air to a newbie, but comedy gold to an original fan.

The only Family Guy episodes i've seen have been the three this season. I don't get any of the references to earlier episodes, but that chicken fight had me cracking up. Brilliant!

Chicken Fight was pretty good. Great ending to see him go back to Lois and finish the conversation and them act like nothing happened. Priceless.

I know Fox picked up around 35 or so ep's so hopefully that means 7 in a row, then possibly a full season of 22(or so) in November?
