Or better yet, why doesn't just Hannah leave? There is no reason Dexter can't meet up with her after he finished off Saxon. The heat would be off her and Dexter and Dex would be completely free to take care of business.

It's too bad this season has taken such a poor turn because I think The Brain Surgeon is a great villain. Smart, ruthless and with a disturbing motive. If they gave him a bigger arc, maybe 8 episodes, I think it would have been great.

Dexter made the claim that if they all left together than it would look less suspicious for Hannah, since she isn't expected to be traveling with a man and a kid. But in any case that won't work now since the Marshall is onto them.

Yeah but she could have left when Dexter stopped her from getting on the plane. Lem wasn't after her at that point and she would have been free to just call Dexter when she got there.

I do love that of all the days or moments the Marshall could have spoke to Batista, he manages to walk right in as Batista is talking about Dexter leaving

Actually yeah that was pretty dumb. They could have formed a basic plan and met up later.

I think most are in agreement - we can't wait for this to just end.

It was just bland and boring - especially for it being the 3rd last episode.

Vince's kid shows up for 20 seconds at a crime scene - Daddy smells pot on her breath and sends her home. Ummm... ok. She had the same amount of screen time the episode prior.
If that storyline is THAT irrelevant, why bother wasting even 20 seconds each episode with it?

But this show's always had stupid contrived happenstance. I'm not excusing it, just saying it's always been kinda dumb. Fun, but dumb.

I've always thought the writing on this show was, oh let's call it lazy, but it was still enjoyable. But this season is just awful. It's so bad and I care so little, I did something I never do; I read the spoilers for the final few eps, so I (maybe) know how it all ends up.

Yeah that scene was only there so we didn't see Dexter telling Batista he was leaving (repeating what we already know) and we only see the reaction and subsequent conversation.

Thing is that it was so horribly choreographed and such a useless exchange, that it made the scene look like a bad sitcom taking place at a murder scene.

It's a fucking adult stunt double that hits the ground:lol::lol::lol::lol: This show is so bad this season. Nobody gives a damn that had a hand in making this season. Acting, camera work, sound editing, storylines. It's all horrible.

well to be fair, they aren't going to put a kid in a situation where they do their own stunts.

Scott Buck's inexperience as a TV showrunner has really shown this season.

If Clyde Phillips was still Dexter's showrunner, I'm sure we would have headed into a totally different path for the final season. It's a shame he left after season 4. He produced some of the best seasons of the show.

Why even do the treadmill scene? There were many other ways they could have acted like the kid got hurt other than the treadmill. It's the worst scene this show has ever done. Then his "ow ow ow" after where it looked like the kid didn't know whether he wanted to laugh or cry. Unless they really deliver an amazing finale I can pretend this show ended at the end of season 4.

As bad as this season has become, Season 3 is still my least favorite of the entire series. I absolutely love Seasons 1, 2 and 4 though.

What I find so annoying about this season is how obviously contrived every situation is. And everything to do with leaving with Hannah has been incredibly dumb.

Hannah should be going everywhere disguised in a black wig and sunglasses. And to leaving the country, Hannah should get out of Florida first by driving into another state to leave, or even drive to Mexico with fake id. Instead the show avoids both so far to contrive a situation where they look like they will be caught if they try to leave.

Yup. This whole episode was just boring and painful to watch. It's all been said--just hate to see it go out like this.

I guess I'll hop on the just end it already bandwagon. This is now the last of the Sunday night shows I get around to watching and I usually keep the 30-second skip button at the ready to plow through the awfulness.

If you notice Harrison isn't even pressing a button on the treadmill either. They didn't even care enough to get him to actually press a button. Even worse is they cut and just showed the fingers so they could have easily did multiple takes until the kid actually pressed the buttons to increase speed.

I also realized they used two different treadmills in that scene. Look at the buttons;)
