Re: Breaking Bad-- To'hajiilee -- 9/8/13

Didn't they say a Jessie + Walt Jr. scene finally happens this season? Seems like Jessie is safe from this. I could be mistaken. I assume Walt is somehow presumed dead, we have the background for this with the neighbor scene. Gomez and Hank is a tossup. We have to lose someone in the gunfight. Having Todd die and them capturing Jessie or Walt seems about right. I'm still trying to think of multiple scenarios.

Must be a new legal principal that I'm not aware of.

The shootout definitely came off a little hokey, especially since those guys appeared to have Hank and Gomez in their sights. At least some wounds before ending the episode to either side would have made it look a little better.

Loved everything else though, was obvious what was happening to Walt to me as soon as he started driving.

Holy shit that was intense. Every second after Hank cuffed Walt I expected Hank's head to explode. I KNEW they were dragging that crap out so the gang would show up.

Doesn't look good for the good guys here....

I knew that Todd and his Uncle would show up, too. I was just wondering what would happen.

But I agree with fumanstan. Someone should have been wounded or killed.

Great episode, though.

That shootout seemed like it belonged in The Walking Dead.

I was so tense during that whole sequence, especially seeing how chilled Hank was. I agree, I was totally expecting a bullet in his head.

Another great episode. Agree with everyone else about the end shoot out; ridiculous but the tension leading up to it was so intense I'm able to overlook it.

The other best part of the episode; Walt Jr. moronic grinning at Sal in the carwash. He looked like Jack Nicholson in The Shinning.

Gomez is really the only other person who can legitly back up Hank's story, if he was gone Hank could be fucked.

I think the job mission for white supremacists has changed. The last thing Walt said to them was that the deal was off. I don't think they ran down to the desert looking to kill Jesse and hope that Walt would show his gratitude by cooking for them. I think their plan was to go down there, take control of the situation, and kidnap Jesse and Walt. Force them to work together again.

It looked like Gomez did get hit. Unless I was seeing things, it looked like there was some blood on his shirt

Re: Breaking Bad-- To'hajiilee -- 9/8/13

It was fascinating to see how close it all came to ending for Walt, and to see his reaction. They had him confessing to the poisoning and to multiple homicides on tape (not sure where that recording is now); they knew where all his money was; and they had him cornered and cuffed. He didn't say anything (except one word to Jesse), and he seemed to shed a single tear. He didn't shoot himself, no death by cop, just handed over his gun and surrendered. I bet in hindsight it seemed kinda dumb hiding ALL that cash in one spot...

Looks like not a whole lot of open space for the Nazis to fire to. Remember Hank and Gomie were behind the SUV before the shootout. And we don't really know if people got hit. http://i.imgur.com/isL9d2o.jpg

It's clear that Hank is dead. They didn't have that scene of him calling Marie just because. That was their goodbye.

But yeah, Hank and Gomez are gone. Walt and Jesse survive. Jesse is the second most important character after Walt, he needs to stay until the end.

I really hope they don't start next week episode with flash forward.

^ That was my reaction to Hank and Marie's phone call as well.

Regarding next week's episode:
Spoiler:
In Talking Bad, Bryan Cranston said the gunfight continues into the next episode, so I assume it picks up where it left off last night.

That altercation when Walt attacked Jesses seemed weird. Is it possible he gave Jesse something there? Just seems like it had to mean something.

Agreed. I was squirming in my seat waiting for Hank or Gomez to get headshot while they were getting ready to cuff Walt.

Well done....
