I'm actually a little glad Zack got taken care of in this episode. Though the writers were mirroring (sort of) a plot line from the books, I didn't think they'd be able to do it justice half-way through a Final Season.
I am a bit excited to see that the Brain Surgeon is back! I had a feeling this might happen, as Yates was taken out a bit too quickly and I was wondering what plot line would drive the show to it's Finale.
I hope whoever turns out to the Brain Surgeon brings all of this full circle because it's a bit nutty right now. With only 4 episodes to go, I hope the reveal doesn't end up feeling like the end of Season 3.
Also LOVE that Hannah is back! Absolutely love when her and Dexter are in scenes together

Yeah, it was pretty obvious that Yates wasn't the brain surgeon. I don't know who it is, but it clearly wasn't him. In fact I kind of wish they had done a better job of making it appear to be him so the reveal that it wasn't would have been better. As it was it felt pretty anti-climactic, other than Zack being the next victim. Regardless, I think this makes it obvious it is someone who had knowledge of the Zack/Dexter/Vogel connection, which is a pretty small subset of characters barring something completely out of left field, which would be ridiculous at this stage of the series.
