Felt like I was watching a sequel to Get Out. And I had no idea that was Glover in white face.

the "it's cheaper with fries" thing was goddamn hilarious. This season has been fucking fantastic. There's nothing about this show I dislike.

Fuck that was a weird episode, at times hilarious, but definitely creepy.

What a wild episode. So good. I placed Glover maybe 5 minutes in. The quick cutaway to the others in the car was needed and also hilarious.
Only gripe is that we got two episodes like this in a row (character specific). Both were good but I think a "standard' ep with everyone doing their normal routines in-between would have helped. Regardless, this was TV gold.

Marvin Gaye Sr was the scariest one, followed by Emilio Estevez’s father who dropped him off in the Breakfast Club as the funniest.

Man, Paperboy can't catch a break this season! First Bibby, then all those fries he didn't want, now this adventures in the woods.

This season has been great, and man some of those episodes have been crazy tense and creepy.

I think I agree. Earn is actually the weakest character, and I also find him the least likable.

Agree with you both. I like Glover, but he comes off as a dick most of the time (which is his charcter), especially in the last German-based one.

The one small nit I have with the Piano/Fries ep is as soon as he went outside and his truck was blocked, so what. Get in that truck and get outta there. Back up into the car and push it out of the way.
Otherwise that ep better win all the emmys.

A bit late to the game here, but I've been watching season 2 over the past week and am almost caught up.
What an impressive sophomore outing for this show. From the opening robbery scene in the opener, I knew we'd be in for a wild ride. I thought the Teddy Perkins episode was so well done and effective, I literally had to pause it half-way through and walk around a bit to catch my composure. The subsequent episode, The Woods, was equally as impressive.
Kudos to Donald Glover and his creative team for creating such an impressive show and assembling such an impressive ensemble cast. Can't recommend this show enough.

Just finished the second season and man they killed it. Every episode was out of the park and even with the serious tone of many of the episodes there were still some great laughs too. Looking forward to Season 3

FX has handed an early fourth-season renewal to its Emmy and Golden Globe-winning hit comedy series Atlanta. The news was announced today as part of FX’s presentation at the TCA summer press tour. Production of season 3 (previously announced) and four, eight episodes each, is scheduled to begin next spring.

If they aren't even starting production until next spring I'm guessing we're at least a year out from season three premiering?

Yea, they announced earlier this year it was delayed due to schedules. It will be a while before it airs.

It’s officially going to be a year before FX delivers more episodes of Donald Glover’s “Atlanta.”
During the cabler’s Television Critics Assn. press tour in Pasadena, Calif. on Thursday, John Landgraf, chairman, FX Networks and FX Prods., announced that the next two installments of the Emmy-winning comedy series would not be ready until 2021.
Calling Seasons 3 and 4 “Part 1 and 2” of a new chapter in the series’ life, Landgraf said that the first 10 episodes should return in January 2021, with the next batch, which as of now will consist of eight episodes, following in the fall of that year.
These 18 episodes will be shot in sequence, with some of filming taking place in the titular city, but much of it also “shooting outside the U.S.,” he noted.
Season 2 of “Atlanta” aired on FX between March and May 2018. Part of the reason for the long wait between seasons is simply how busy Glover has become. From his film work in “The Lion King” to his Amazon Prime Video special “Guava Island” and his music career as Childish Gambino, he continues to be in high-demand. That demand includes FX, though: While there was no official Season 5 renewal announced, Landgraf expressed interest in continuing the series.
“As long as Donald wants to make more ‘Atlanta,’ I’m down for that. But it’s his choice,” he said.
Glover created the series and stars alongside Brian Tyree Henry, Zazie Beetz and Lakeith Stanfield. The series is executive produced by Glover and his brother, Stephen Glover, along with Paul Simms, Dianne McGunigle, and Hiro Murai. FX Prods. produces.
