my only wish is that they don't make the profiler his daughter. It would be so obvious and cliche.

I may have overlooked it earlier, but glad to see Ray Romano will be returning as a "special guest star" on Parenthood. Assuming he'll have similar involvement as last season, they may as well just include him as a regular cast member - he seemed to be in most of the episodes last season.

I didn't realize it but I watch next to nothing on NBC. Parks and Rec I like and will continue as long as the quality is there. None of the new ones really jump out at me but so much depends on what it plays against.

BTW, The Michael J. Fox show already has a guaranteed 22 episode order. It's already guaranteed for a full season before it even aired.

Here's an excerpt from an older Vulture article:

Wife and I checked it out yesterday at Universal Orlando.

They were asking people who were vacationing. They didn't want residents for some reason.

Anyway we watched the entire first episode. They said it was a directors rough cut but it still was only 22 minutes.

It was funny but tried to cram too much in.
There was a side plot with the blond woman who is Fox's sister that made no sense and was
out of place and felt like filler.
She was in the park with other woman and I think she was trying to convince these
woman that she was a single mom.

Another plot point that was odd had the daughter invite a girlfriend to the house and out because the daughter thought she was a lesion.

Maybe she thought it would make her cool, I don't know we couldn't figure it out so we might have missed something.

The older brother, who comes across as a bit of a smug jerk was sure the lesbian was into him.
Young son who does nothing for me.
Too. Many kids, should have just had the daughter.

Fox's wife, who I had no idea was Marie on Breaking Bad, was really funny and a good team up with Fox.
Fox's boss at the TV station was on the wire but I forget his name. He was funny too but they seem to have him playing a ladies man and its a stretch.

Tracy Pollan is the upstairs neighbor in the building.

She was good but it came out seeming like a one off to me. I would rather see her than the blond sister.

For was great. They didn't hit you over the head with his disease. There nay have been two additional jokes about it that wasn't shown in the previews. I know there was at least one and it was pretty funny.

I bet they tone down the Parkinson humor as the show goes on.

When the guy asked us if we wanted to preview a very show I figured it would be something other then a show like this.

Already has a full season and has Fox.

I wonder if they are nervous about making jokes about Parkinsons as many of the questions were if we felt offended by it. We weren't.

If this was a rough cut and they plan on taking out stuff then there clearly would be still filmed scenes they can add in.

My guess is The blond sister loses some scenes.

We also got $20 each.

Doesn't sound too bad. The problems mentioned don't sound that awful and can probably be largely chalked up to it being the rough cut of a first episode. Regardless I'm stoked to see Michael J. Fox back on television so definitely going to check it out.

You can never judge a show based on the pilot, especially a rough cut. It does sound like it's got some potential though. We'll definitely give it a few episodes.
