It is fun enough, but damn... did they just hire all of the out of work writers from Terra Nova? They should have just waited a year and moved the entire Fringe staff to this show and done it right.

Alot of the behind the scenes staff on this show used to work with Kripke on Supernatural. JJ also brought some of his people from Lost and Fringe.

Re: Revolution -- "Chained Heat" -- 9/24/12

Alright, I finished up the episode tonight.

It was still entertaining. Some of the acting and dialogue isn't great, but I think it's still a very watchable show with an interesting long-term premise.

and of course, Rachel is alive. Thx to the guys who pointed it out in this thread. Now I'd like to see some flashback (which I assume they will show) on how she ended up being held captive in Monroe's camp. I wonder if Ben knew about this before he died.

Re: Revolution -- "Chained Heat" -- 9/24/12

Watched it. Honestly the whole story line with uncle, hunger games girl and guy, beardo, and British chick should just be dropped. I think next week I'll FFd through these parts (I did a little bit this week) but the other story lines with the militia, monroe, and the breaking bad guy have some potential. But the bad one liners, predictable story lines, and bad acting are going to cause viewers like me to check out.

I have to admit, to get through this I had to view it as the tale of a girl who has a huge narcissistic personality disorder.

She knows whats best at all times, even when it's blatantly obvious she has no idea whats going on.
She refuses to listen to suggestions from others who are much more qualified.
She demands people follow rules she makes up.
She has no problem breaking those rules herself when she wants to.
Says everything is her fault. Because the world revolves around her and her actions.

i called the mom being alive

i knew the uncle had to find someone else to help them out

that being said, im more impressed that they are pushing forward with the power outage storyline and how to bring it back...

Same here. I think the cool:crap ratio for this show is going to be low.

The show's premise seems to me set up to get us to power coming back on at season's end, at least to a limited degree. If there are more seasons (and it seems likely), I'm guessing they'll probably deal with a bigger arc involving why the power was cut in the first place and other such issues.

I think the show's title hints at this, too. I think the power being off is the means to an end, which was revolution.

I watched about fifteen minutes of this show; couldn't take anymore. I've seen better shows that only lasted one season - I don't see this one surviving. I won't be watching anymore. Maybe in a year or two I'll catch Season 1 (the only season) on Netflix.

Next up on my radar is Last Resort.

You didn't like the show, yet your open to re-visiting it on home video a year or so from now? That makes alot of sense.

The way I read it, the first episode didn't interest him so he's moving on because he can always catch it later via DVD/BluRAY/NetFlix if it turns out to be better than his first impressions. Seems sensible.

I gave the show credit for killing off both the main characters that they seemingly established as the leads. Guess I was only half right.

Doesn't appear to be a plug in device it seems to provide some kind of power.
You have watched as much as the rest of us so you know as well as we do who Randall stun stick guy is.

Stop it with the Hunger Games mentions!!! For the ones that have read the books, or even watched the movie, there's no comparison!!

OK, I finally said it.

I never give a show credit for this when it happens in the first episode. A main character death only means something when the viewers are attached to them.

How do show writers still not understand how not to make their protagonist so annoying? Why would they think we're going to identify with this girl? Making naive/idiotic choices like sparing a bounty hunter does not make us think highly of her moral code.
