I guess anyone could come up with an alternative to any scene in any show if they really wanted to.
Personally; I loved the tone of the intro with the chilling music, and the acid bath.

Man, Aaron Paul really knocked this episode out of the park.
Cranston is great is making us feel that Walter is a scary person but it's Paul's reactions to him that really put it over the top. The look on Jesse's face when he heard Walt gleefully whistling really sold just how far out there Walt is now.

Fuck; Victor fit in just fine, and he was full fledge man.
This is the best show on television, it is one of the few shows I will sit through commercials for.

Right after Walt comforting Jesse.
It was epic bad and lazy writing.

Pretty sure that he thought that Jesse had left already or was leaving but he went upstairs (I think) to change clothes.

^Not at all un-Walt like. Not the way he's been acting this season. He's been overly arrogant. Look how he nonchalantely told Skyler that he was robbing a train in the last episode. Or how he bugged Hanks office without panicking at all. It's not something season one Walt would have done. He would have been too careful. Season 5 Walt is egotistical to the point of being sloppy.

The character fit in, but I read that the actor suffered an injury
http://www.eonline.com/news/252832/s...bones-and-more
Unfortunately, Jeremiah Bitsui, who played Gus' victim Victor, was hurt—physically—in the scene: He sprained his ankle!
"Aaron [Paul] and Bryan [Cranston] just got very aggressive trying to jam me in [the bucket]; you jimmy it a few times and it just doesn't fit—something's going to end up hurting."

Jesse felt way out of character during the dinner scene. I know he was really trying to lighten the mood, but it felt like his lines were written for Badger.
Otherwise, another great episode.

I can't remember... does Jesse know that Skyler knows about the meth, and have they had any other interaction since Season 1? If not, I'd expect Jesse to be massively taken aback at how different she is. Back then, she was a bulldog out to protect Walt (when she thought Jesse was just selling him pot), and now she palpably hates Walt.

The dinner scene was awesome. I authentically dislike Walter White now, he almost comes off comedic in the "He thinks he knows but he has no idea" sense and strikes me as a bit of a dumbass, but I suppose with a show called Breaking Bad it was bound to happen.

I get that he'd feel a bit uncomfortable and may have a harder time generating a conversation - but it still didn't feel like the more confident, self-assured and responsible Jesse we've been seeing lately. This feels more like the Jesse of Season 1.
After hearing Walt mention that Gray Matter was worth "billions", I can almost understand his position on thinking that 5 million is nothing. He'd be smart to take the money and run, since danger lurks around every corner in that business - but I can also see his side that for all he's been through during his meth run and that all that he's given up by leaving Gray Matter - 5 million doesn't even begin to make up for everything.

This is totally true, but why exactly does he insist on living at home and forcing it all on Skyler? Just because he can? Because of the car wash? He could leave, have them out of any potential harm's way, and still work his meth empire, couldn't he?

be extra careful guys, I had a friend blab out to me what he read online as a spoiler to how episode 8 ends. Not sure if it's true, but be careful in your surfing. :/

Walt has been making some very bad decisions this season like when he was handcuffed and very easily could have electrocuted himself. I think it has to do with the cancer coming back. It's affecting his brain and thus clouding his judgement.

That isn't un-Walt like at all this season. Killing Gus went to his head, he's been like that since episode 1 of this season. Right now he thinks he is THE man and knows everything, and gut instinct tells me that will all fall apart and bite him in the ass shortly.

Yeah, one of the Breaking Bad podcasts I listen to has the spoilers as well. I won't listen to the spoiler section of the show though. I hope people don't post anything in here even in spoiler tags. Then we'll get people's reactions to the spoiler which may be nearly as bad as the spoiler itself...like what happened in the Walking Dead threads last season.
