Even if Boogie used some mist to break Ian from the QP, Ashley hates him and Joe's strategy is to kiss the a.. of the HOH. Boogie is a good manipulator but he spends almost all his time with Frank and has an awfully poor read on people he is almost as bad as Janelle . At this point some highly suspicous coup or dpov seems like the only thing capable of saving him Thurs.

I friggin' sit up way later than my body wants me to, as I finally have a chance to watch some BBAD (3rd time or so the entire season I've seen more than a few minutes of it) because you all are talking about scorched earth, people imploding and such and in the hour that I've watch, I've actually spent more time doing things on my laptop than watching the show. It's boring as hell on every level. Almost no game play and everyone getting along, Britney always is going to talk smack so that's no big shock, and I really hope Ashley isn't totally teasing poor Ian and she totally owes him, considering her background, one great night in Vegas. As much as I honestly hated that one season where the house turned into a porn set, I'd like to see someone hook up at this point just to make it worth it for me waiting over a hour for something interesting to happen.

Sounds like there's some controversy regarding the veto.
There are accusations that Frank was caught cheating or that the veto comp was rigged in his favor. Seems like that's why the feeds were off for so long yesterday, and they're cutting them every time it's brought up.
As far as I can tell from reading summaries of the feeds, it seems that when veto players were drawn that Frank and/or Boogie were allegedly given "Houseguest's choice" chips ahead of time by production and that they palmed them and pretended to pull out of the bag. This, after they tried to talk Shane out of nominating Boogie and Frank.
There are claims out there that Frank admitted to holding a HG Choice chip, and Boogie told him to never mention that again. Joe has been complaining to the DR to no avail.

But if that story is true, the game is rigged and I thought, even though this is Big Brother, not a powerhouse in the reality world and even not a big deal compared to say the economy, it's still against the frigging law to rig a game that has a cash prize. No?
More than anything, I just like someone to chronicle actual cheating so I can get some sense of how much of BB is absolutely phony. I know there are times where it seems like they're not giving their own thoughts in the DR, but reading scripted lines. But maybe I'm just reading too much into these idiots they cast. I don't even know, but I'd like to know.
I can tweet Michele about just about anything and more often than not, she'll reply, because she's an attention whore, but if I even imply to her something about "cheating" she'll go silent or get very cryptic. I've seen ED imply things but never state them plainly. Personally, I loathe the guy, but during the season, I do like to see what these people say sometimes, especially about the game play. ED probably still can make some coin from CBS, but there has to be people who've played the show who you'd think would have some credibility and there'd be a decent audience for the news if it was out and out cheating like giving people chips and having them fake a random selection.
If stuff like that happens, even though I still enjoy it as summer fun television despite all its faults, the show should be yanked.
Again, this is tv not real life, but if genuine rigging was occurring regularly on TAR or Survivor, it would be a big story. Phil's really the only host of one of these shows I genuinely respect, so if they flat out cheated, I'd lose all respect for the guy.

I wonder what kind of hold these people are under that no one has ever come forward publicly about really cheating. Not blunders or manipulation, that stuff can be too vague.

A cast member on Big Brother 8 says that producers forced Eric, America’s Player, to not use the power of veto, keeping Dick and Daniele in the game and adding more evidence that the producers didn’t care about anything (like, say, fairness or integrity) except advancing their Dick and Daniele narrative.
Jessica said in in an interview that producers “said ‘Do not use it. You don’t have a choice. You are to keep nominations the same.’” That’s extremely significant because had he used it, Jessica would have put up Dick or Daniele, sending them home and most likely changing the rest of the game significantly.
Jessica told the Reality TV Podcast by Rob and Trevor that the producers prohibited Eric from using the power of veto, a fact she learned after the game concluded. In her comments, transcribed by Silly Hamsters, Jessica says,

“Eric explained he wasn’t allowed to use the veto that week. The producers said that America wasn’t given enough time to decide who he should use it on if he was going to so that just flat out told him he is not allowed to use the veto at all - nominations had to stay the same. Which is why Eric didn’t use the veto. I think that’s because they knew if he used the veto I was going to put up one of the Donatos, Dick or Daniele, and so they just said you know you can’t do it. I didn’t know it at the time. I said, ‘What? What is going through your head? This is the perfect opportunity to get one of the big dogs out of here’ and he wouldn’t do it but I went along with him because I had to. He had the power that week. He was my ally. … I put up two people that were were just kinda like ehh so we have the opportunity to get somebody out that is huge in the game and I wanted to but because he was told that he couldn’t he had to keep arguing to me ‘No no no. We have the right people up. Trust in the alliance it’s all going to be good’ and I had to go along with it because I didn’t have a choice.”

As expected Frank used the veto to save himself. Jenn was put on the block in his place. Mike seems to be gone Thursday, but I can't wait to see if he can pull a rabbit out of one of his many hats.

Sounds like it's getting interesting.
Jenn, who has probably been the lowest profile player in the history of the show, has been systematically alienating everyone in the house since being put up as a pawn against Boogie. If she keeps this up, Boogie might end up staying one more week if she swing an eviction vote or two her way.
Joe has been making nice with Shane and company all week. All alliances seem to be in a fluid state at the moment.

I haven't watched any of the Live Feeds or SHO AD this year, but have watched the edited network shows. I think it would be funny as hell to see Boogie get evicted with Ian having such a large and determining hand in it.
Boogie, the self-proclaimed great player in BB, taken to the cleaners by his nerdy noob protege, all with Boogie having no clue. I can't think of a better and more funny exit. Hilarious.

I have no idea whose loyalties lie where now.
Ian seems to be playing both sides (Froogie and the Quack Pack), Joe has his nose up Dan/Dani/Brit/Shane's asses for now. Ashley seems to have switched over to team Froogie and abandoned Jenn.
And Boogie seems to have offered Joe his own restaurant.

Ian's with the Quack Pack and seemingly doing nothing but paying lip service to Froogie. Ashley's essentially Frank's girlfriend now so of course she's over there.
And Boogie's just being his usual shit self.

Re: Big Brother 14 After Dark/Live Feed Spoiler Thread
I can't recall a season where the live feeds and the edited tv show are such entirely different entities. Britney has come unhinged so many different times this season but she is getting a cool calm gamer edit. The dumb blonde shchtick Ashley pulls in the DR is entirely different from how she is in the house. And Daniele as much as she is easily my favorite person in the house is legit the the most psycho person ever cast which should be ripe for a comedic edit like amber in season 8 or natalie in 9 yet she is getting a plucky sweet girl edit. And I would say watching them downplay Frank and Boogies doucebaggary is kind of dissapointing. Apparently before the veto ceremony they even did one of their stupid confessionals about how Chilltown 2.0 is running the house which would have been hilariously ripe for mocking. I would say Shanes edit is the only one that kind of matches him and his game.

Re: Big Brother 14 After Dark/Live Feed Spoiler Thread
There is a reason I fell in love with the "BB" concept four seasons ago not from the CBS versions (which devote entirely too much airtime to stupid time-consuming Eviction Nomination/POV ceremonies and those Have/Have-Nots comps) but the Jokers recaps, online forums and "After Dark" SHO2 show. "BB" is basically a psychological human ant farm, and that goes on 24/7. Midnight to 6AM ET has been the times this season "BB" has been at its absolute best (Willie's reign of terror, the coach's meeting that got Janelle expelled, etc.) but 90% of the good stuff doesn't make it to the CBS show because they have a story they want to craft and massage out of the hundreds of hours they have. But at least, unlike "closed" shows like "TAR" and "Survivor," with "BB" we can actually enjoy the 'rough' and messy live/feed/recap life inside the "BB" house and contrast it with the final network product. I'd love to peek into the behind-the-scenes shooting truths behind other reality shows, but that's what gives "BB" its hook (one that isn't easily recreated, as ABC's shit ratings for "The Glass House" prove).
Shoot, just something as meaningless as watching Britney and Danielle fake-wrestle and grapple each other every night on the feeds and "After Dark" (which hasn't been shown on CBS) gives the non-CBS experience a unique personality that's both attached to and completely divorced from the "Big Brother" that 95% of the people watch (and pays for the bills that keep this party going).

^It sounds like you would enjoy Big Brother UK. It's Big Brother as it was meant to be without the silly competitions that CBS focuses way to much attention on. Their weekly tasks are much more original and are designed solely to create drama and for the houseguests to win food for the week. If you want to check it out, you can find the seasons on Youtube.

The UK version (I have never seen it) seems to be much more popular over there than the US version is here as well. The stupid have/have not crap that I can't believe anyone over the age of 8 cares about is a perfect example of why the show has lost me as a regular viewer. For that matter most of the competitions in general are so completely childish that I am embarrassed for the people involved. "Who wants to see my head of household room?" - even the other houseguests who have literally nothing else to do 90% of the time are bored with that. And on and on. I still check in periodically in case something interesting is happening, but less and less. If the show wasn't on in the summer I'd likely stop completely. Unfortunately I can't make myself care enough to check other sites or feeds for updates. This is a board I visit anyway and I figure if something good is happening someone here will tip it and I'll try to check out the next episode.

Another big difference between the US and UK version is on the UK BB the house guests arent allowed to discuss nominations with each other. It makes for a completely different dynamic. On the US version like 85+% of every conversation is about game play. On the UK shows they almost never discuss game play. Its much closer to the human ant farm you mentioned.

people complain about BB being fixed, but I'm hoping they do the best they can to get Frank the HOH.There is so much potential gold there. How great would the "Who wants to see my HOH room?" segment be? Would they allow him to not even ask and just go up there by himself? Does anybody attempt to work with him? Does he even bother approaching anybody?
EDIT - well looks like Ian is the answer. Holy shit are Frank and Boogie blind to this kid.

After tonight's live show I thought Ian's goose was cooked with Frank, but the latter is so blind to even the idea that Ian has game that he still blames Dan getting into Ian's head for Boogie leaving and Ashley's demise. Amazing, but if everyone if the QP keeps quiet they could still roll with Ian as a mole (easy now, only one person left to spy on
) unless Frank wins HOH, which will be a moot point.

It's funny b/c yesterday Frank called Dan a bad player who was jealous that he wasn't as good as Frank. Now, in spite of that "fact", Dan has somehow manipulated Ian into doing all that crap he just did on the live show. It wasn't Ian's fault; it was Dan's fault.

Well, apparently Dan and Shane have already faked a fight so Shane and Britney have buddied up to Frank, who is so desperate for allies that he's already taken Ian back. The goal, such that it is, it to get Frank to nominate someone like Joe against Dan should he win HOH.

Sounds like AD might be a good one tonight. I may have to stay up and watch a little tonight. That's the sole reason I was pulling for Frank to win the veto tonight. Keep the drama high.I can't imagine Frank actually trusts anyone at this point. He has to act like he does only because he has no other choice. We won't ever know the truth though, because he doesn't have anyone in the house left to talk to for us to find out his true feelings (except the diary room).
He'd be an idiot not to try and get rid of Shane if he were to win HoH. Shane is his biggest obstacle to winning competitions and that's really the only way for him to get to end...winning either HoH or veto every week. Take Shane out and his chances are much better.

Ok, time for everyone to share who they're rooting for to win now:
1. Dan

My top 3 are the same as yours (not sure about the order). That said, I don't think it would be fair for a coach to win with the huge advantage they were given. That would leave me with Ian at the top.
Eh, I don't know...at this point, I guess I'd be fine with anyone winning except Jenn or Danielle.

2. Ian (I like him. And he out-Boogied Boogie.)
3. Frank (He's kind of asshole, but he plays hard.)
4. Shane (Sounds like he could use the money.)
I don't really like Britney or Danielle; they come off as catty, entitled sorority girls. Dan's already won, so screw him. I'm sort of ambivalent about Joe. He's like the ultimate floater, and I sort of get a creep vibe off of him.
