Alfie Allen is killing the stuff as Theon. I was really excited to see how he'd handle this season and he's been blowing it out of the water.

I am not too happy with Arya showing her higher breeding. I would have thought she would be smart enough to keep that better hidden, especially around Tywin. Sometimes it feels like the writers want these awesome scenes with great dialogue and acting between them, but it comes at the expense of realism in that she should be trying to stay as unnoticed as possible.

Yes, because she's a highly sophisticated 10 year old.

You do realize this is a show where women emerge from funeral pyres with baby dragons clinging to their naked bodies and give birth to smoke-monster assassins, right?

The show's made it very clear that Arya is fooling everybody except Tywin, so I think she's doing just fine.

I thought it was perfectly fine. You can't change the way you speak without a serious, concerted effort and even then, you're bound to slip up and revert back to your original speech patterns. She's a 10-11 year old girl so I think she's doing pretty well overall.

Way to spoil the big scene in Book 4 where Dany changes her sig. Jerkwad.

She's also rebellious and ballsy. I think they've done a good job of her going from being careful and worried to being too comfortable and smart for her own good. As Tywin pretty much even told her flat out in this episode.

I thought filthy gingers could normally do that. It was one of the perks in a addition to lacking souls.

I appreciate all the comments on Arya's syntax and alternate explanations. I honestly did not consider some of the points made, and can see their possible validity.

I think the show has made it painfully clear that Tywin is noticeably brighter than 99% of the people in Westeros, so Arya is doing a pretty good job of covering. And when she WAS accused of being highborn, she had an amazing comeback.

Now that I think of it, Littlefinger telling Tywin that the Stark girlS were in captivity saved her life. Tywin KNOWS she's a northerner, SUSPECTS she's highborn, and is on the run from something. If he had a hint Arya was missing, she'd be captured by now.

Finally saw this tonight... Loved every bit of it. Every scene packed a punch. The scene with Arya and Papa Lannister was good. The scenes with Dany were really well done and of course the ones with Jaimie and Cersei. Could've used more female nudity but that's my only complaint.

Ygritte is absolutely perfect in this show. Love the way they are putting all this together, and am interested to see just how many changes the tv writers end up making to the book material.

I like how most of the changes from the book work and even book readers even get a little surprise

So clearly she plays a pretty big role going forward? Good to know she's not going to be offed anytime soon.

So I got a little mixed up with the "m'lord" and the "milord" (did I even spell them correctly?) during the Tywin & Arya scene. Which was she using and which should she have been using?

A high born/educated person would say 'My lord' while a commoner w/ little education would say m'lord.

Arya was saying, "My lord," instead of, "M'lord", or "Milord." Just a manner of more refined speaking given her nobility.

No one expects the -- oh bugger!!!

...Although I always heard it pronounced as "m'lud" on the various Monty Python courtroom skits:

"M'lud, and my other lud, the prosecution will endeavour to show m'lud, that m'lud - ah, not you m'lud, that m'lud, m'lud, while passing sentence at the Central Criminal Court blotted his copy book. Call exhibit Q!"

Ned Stark was absolutely perfect too. Casting has nothing to do with longevity.

Oh, and remember that the show isn't necessarily sticking with the books. People that "shouldn't" be dead (yet or to-date) are and vice versa.

Based on this, I guessed.

This is the 2nd episode so far this season with no nudity. Take out the swear words and this could have aired on ABC or something!

I believe other than Alfie Allen's sex scene with the captain's daughter on the ship, none of the main cast (as listed in the opening credits) has done nudity this season. Ros the Whore has been completely clothed in all of her eps and she showed EVERYTHING last season.
