I though Jon Arryn, not Ned, told Stannis about the royal children not being Robert's biological kids, which is a reason why Stannis, who was a member of the small council, was missing from King's Landing after Jon Arryn's death. (Or is that just from the books and not the series?)

I'm not the one who's confused...
From A Wiki of Ice and Fire: "Before his death, Jon worked with Stannis Baratheon to discover that Cersei's children were fathered not by Robert but by the her brother the Kingslayer. Lord Jon meant to act and even planned for his son Robert Arryn to be fostered with Stannis on Dragonstone. Before he could publicly reveal this information, he died."
And this: "Just prior to the events of A Game of Thrones, Stannis suspected that the children of Queen Cersei Lannister were not actually Robert's. He confided his suspicions to Lord Arryn, and they investigated the matter together. Stannis did not bring his suspicions to Robert, as he knew Robert would not believe the charges coming from him (Robert had no love for his brother Stannis, and Stannis would be seen as making himself heir), but would listen if the charges came from Jon Arryn whom Robert loved."

Is no one else annoyed by the increasing deus ex machina moments? Smoke monsters, super-ninja's. I can't be bothered to think about how any action will play out because something out of the blue can upset it all.

Didn't get a chance to see this episode Sunday Night, but watched it last night and it was probably the best episode of the season. Every scene kept you on the edge of your seat. And that kid who plays Joffrey should win an Emmy/Golden Globe for being a total dick.

NOT RHETORICAL, REQUESTING SPOILERED ANSWER:
Will we see Lysa Arryn and the Eyrie any time soon? It doesn't seem like there was much point to them, other than the whole thing with Season 1.

The other implication besides just being an excursion for Tyrion is that there's an entire "kingdom" out there that should be loyal to the Baratheons (being that Jon Arryn was Robert's Hand) AND the Starks (being that Lysa was Ned's good-sister-(in-law)) that is completely sitting this one out. The Knights of the Vale would certainly help bring this bloody mess to a quicker end.

No chance of course for a child actor, but he's effective, for sure. I have been wondering if they keep Peter Dinklage in the supporting category this year or if they "graduate" him into the Lead Actor category like they did with Michael J Fox on Family Ties. He'd be a lock to repeat in Supporting, but would face tough sledding from Bryan Cranston,John Hamm and Steve Buschemi if competing in Lead Actor instead.

They should move someone to lead actor/actress just to stop competing with themselves even if there isn't a true lead in either category.
