Yeah I haven't truly consistently liked this show since it returned from the Writers Strike in season 4. At one point, most of the characters on the show were ordinary people with a couple of exceptions (Dwight, Creed, and Michael for the most part), but now the show has become basically what character can one up the next with the dumbest thing they could possibly say. The writers try too hard to make every character as exorbitant as possible, except for Jim and Pam who they desperately want us to relate to.

What's up with the writers always feeling the need to pit the rest of the Office workers against Jim? Seems like they're trying to play us like a puppet to make us sympathize with him. I don't even like Jim anymore. Originally he was likeable as the every guy that anyone could get along with or relate to, now they've made him the normal guy surrounded by abnormal people, and it just doesn't work.

Also, Pam's modesty and shyness used to be endearing. Now she doesn't know how to shut the fuck up.

It will return. They are still negotiating with cast members on new contracts. The ratings are down alot, but it's still the best performing scripted show on Thursday nights. There is no way they give up on it. Plus, they have the Dwight Schrute spinoff that is played for midseason 2013 and will supposedly launch out of The Office.

If the actors have any dignity or self-respect, they will walk. Or at least the ones that aren't awaiting a 9-5 job when their tenure on The Office ends *cough* Ed Helms *cough*

With syndication rights, I doubt any of those actors would ever have to work 9-5 again. Let's be real here.

Ed Helms awaiting a 9-5? He seems to be the biggest star of the bunch.

Does that matter if networks don't air it? TBS delegated it to the mid afternoon and my local station only airs it on weekends. I don't think it will last much longer.

This show won't die anytime soon. NBC has no other shows to rely on. They're going to retool it in an attempt to increase ratings. We'll see what happens.

That's what I was saying, I can see how it'd be misinterpreted though from how I wrote it.

2 game 7s and the NFL draft tonight? If Robert California asked me if I had any reason to watch The Office tonight I'd say "No."

That reminds me of a clever exchange in the last episode. You have to watch it.

The Office airs several times a day on several channels. It's also syndicated worldwide.

NBC will no doubt renew this even if only a few cast members come back. They have no other shows, need it to launch the Dwight spinoff, and it makes money thanks to syndication.

A script was leaked that had Jim killing Todd Packer after it was discovered that Packer was the father of Pam's baby.

Jim is going to get arrested for driving drunk 3 months ago. His BAC was so high even Ryan Dunn was impressed.

Re: The Office -- "Angry Andy" -- 4/19/12

The best part of this entire episode was everyone making fun of FanofComedy in this thread, and him not realizing it.

With that said, there have been some REALLY funny episodes this season. But the top 10 worst episodes in Office history have also come from this season.

I wasn't making fun of him. I was just being silly by repeating the quote.
