I don't go to many other forums, so I wonder what overall opinion on Nellie has been, mostly because I despise her and want the actress who plays her to die. This board can't be much differnet than general public opinion, can it? Why would the creators of the show think it was a good idea to add this abortion of a character to the show?

What I was expecting that Andy would come in early the next day & move all his stuff back into his office. Then do the same 'No' routine to Nellie. Robert would see Andy in there and tell Nellie to leave since Andy is occupying the office now.

Gotta agree--simply horrible, practically unwatchable. Wretched.

Re: The Office -- "Angry Andy" -- 4/19/12
I had to join this forum simply because I was sooo upset about watching the Office last night.. ok, some venting...
Who is writing for this show now? Having seen every episode since the beginning, this has got to be one of the worst seasons ever, and this last episode one of the most frustrating from a whole host of perspectives.
Thoughts:
-when was the last time you saw anyone in that office actually work? Does anyone call on the phone or go to a clients for a sales call? Everyone sits around and doesnt work. Its like Friends without the coffee shop.
-When is it plausible that someone who has been fired in another state can simply walk into a different branch and assume a managerial position? With that logic, Dwight have moved out Nellies stuff long ago and simply barracaded himself in the office and survived as manager.
-what purpose does Robert California serve? He seems to wander aimlessly through each episode as if on 'shrooms and has no ability to say "no" to an ugly woman such as Nellie?
-where is the coworker loyalty or support for Andy when he returns? Instead you have everyone supporting a fictious manager?
-Of all the irritating characters, is there anyone worse then Nellie?
-Does HR, Toby serve a purpose anymore?
-Where is corporate, and why would anyone who is aligned with corporate, such as Gabe, go along with a hijacked manager?
-Is it me, or is Pam flat out annoying now? She sticks her nose into everyones business, but I never see her do any work.
...
At this point, my thoughts on the characters:
-Nellie-so irritating I want to stop watching the show, or else Id like to see Dwight get some sandpaper and file off that mole on her face. If nothing else, how about a brawl between her and Erin and Erin kicking her butt?
-Robert-talk about a spineless, useless character. Once upon a time this guy was actually a fairly decent actor, and it makes me wish the guy from Pretty in Pink would take his alter ego.
-Jim-has really lost his sense of pranks, loyalty to Andy, etc.
-Pam-annoying and butts into everyone business.
-Angela-has always been annoying, but, she also was a stickler for following the rules and protocols of the company. Anyone in accounting or auditing would be laughing at the lack of Sarbanes Oxley etiquette for simply docking peoples pay at the whim of a person who isnt even legally on the corporate payroll.
-Kelly and Ryan-how many times do we need to see that drivel.
-Oscar-he himself no longer is a stickler for detail and instead seemed more insterested in that Ravi guy.
-Meredith-did she even talk last night?
-Toby-as he himself stated, hes useless. Since HR is corporate, and theres no heirarchy anymore, and people can do whatever they want, why even have an HR person there?
-Stanley-he would never put up with a mgr as bad as Nellie, and he instead would be sitting there doing crossword puzzles or ignoring her. Was he suddenly neutered too?
A better ending last night.. Andy seeks out Dwight and promises Dwight a promotion if he helps take down Nellie, Dwight provides information that Nellie is afraid of magicians, Andy does magic in Nellies office, she goes running out, Robert sees Andy back at his desk and says, well done.
Or.. Erin and Nellie get in a fight with Erin whaling on Nellie and when Dwight steps in, Ellie nails Dwight with a right cross, and Dwight then subdues Nellie and Jim calls Hank the security guy and says theres a crazy woman in the office, and in checking with HR, Toby says, I dont show a Nellie being employed here, and shes dragged away by her hair.
the possibilities go on and on.. but if this is the best the writeres can produce, then surely the show has jumped the shark....
Sorry to vent...

Andy lost his manager job because he was missing due to running to Florida to find Erin and didn't care about his job. So why would they have loyalty to Andy when he was no where to be found?

Robert is attracted to Nellie no? He said something about not being able to make decisions when he is arroused after Nellie and Andy were fighting over who gets the office and Robert likes to have sex and come back and make the decision. This is why she is basically getting her way, also circling back to my dominatrix type personality for her, they get what they want. Robert could be into the submissive behavior as well since he could attest to Gabe's prostate stimulation theory.

Just saw it on Hulu. Looks like people must have missed this line:
Robert California: "Andy if you say No one more time you are fired. Now is there anything else you would like to say?
Andy: "No"
LMAO

This show officially sucks, if Michael was back it would suck much less and that kills me because I've loved this show for at least the first 6 seasons. Hell, I've had a The Office wall and desk calendar in my office for the last 5 years and some of the quotes are classic. Ironically, the quotes are getting lamer and lamer as the years go on.

So was Andy seriously fired because he answered "no" to the question of having anything else to say? Would he have been fired if he answered yes?

Yes because we see Andy with his box full of his personal belongings at the end. I think Mr. California already decided to fire him before they met in the office and just needed a reason to do it and Andy gave him a reason.

Maybe it will be found out that Toby helped convict the wrong guy as the Scranton Strangler and the actual strangler will strike again and take out Nellie!

Jim is actually the Scranton Strangler, but the twist is that Toby is also.
And Michael and Holly didn't go off to live together... Jim and Toby killed them.

Very, very poor episode. The highlight for me was Andy being more human than cartoonish as he's been lately. Nellie is a terrible character and I don't understand Robert California's stupidity.
I know traditionally employee's come back but has it been mentioned that Ed Helms was going to leave after this season? I could see him trying to focus more on making films.
