Agreed on all counts. Tenant was my favorite Doctor ever. Matt Smith has grown on me (a bit), but I just feel he lacks the gravitas to really do the show justice. I'm hoping for an older Doctor next.

I think Matt Smith is the best of the new Doctors.
I've been very disappointed in Pond Life. The point of it was to show what their life was like without the Doctor, and it's all been about The Doctor.

The problem I hate with Smith at first was that the material was really overtly being written for Tennant still and it didn't quite work with him, I think they eventually found something unique about him as the series went on though and I like what he's been doing.

My wife got tickets to the local minor league baseball game tomorrow night. She tells my son. His reaction: "I'm going to miss Dr. Who!"

Re: Doctor Who: Series 7 (Fall 2012)
I haven't been on the internet for a few weeks, but I thought something was up when I looked at the guide on the TV and saw they were playing the last two seasons and the specials. I was so happy to come back to this thread and confirm that there is a new episode tomorrow. YES YES YES!
And by the way Amazon, get a damn Doctor Who sale going like you did last year for Series 6 and earlier this year for whatever reason you did.

Matt Smith recommends they take on a female doctor, more specifically Charlize Theron:

How many is he doing? Just this one?
BTW the above gif is for both the spoiler and the Charlize Theron as a future Doctor. Even though I know it will never happen.

So the christmas episode takes place BEFORE A Good Man Goes to War since Strax is the henchman.
Makes the theory that the Doctor knew what was coming, and his adventures with the new companion were all before Angels Take Manhattan even more credible.

Sontarans are clones, so there is some wriggle room there.

Re: Doctor Who: Series 7 (Fall 2012)
I thought the same "clone batch" had similar names, not the same exact name.
I see your point though.
I'm still unsure because they made Strax dying a big thing making sure people realized he was dead during the battle. It could just be because it's such an honor for that race to die in battle, but who knows anymore when it comes to this show and connections.
I do like the "I'm retired" line from the Doctor though and would love an episode or two where he just really doesn't care what happens and he's just there to observe the carnage.
