I tell you what I simply can't tolerate any more is Laura. Her constant "All right folks, whoooooo!" every time a locker is opened is nails on a chalkboard. God I wish she'd shut up.

I was watching Auction Hunters yesterday and they took a Coke vending machine to Dennis at Off The Wall but it wasn't the same guy on Storage Wars & Storage Hunters!

Did anyone catch last week's episode from SW:Texas? That pool table make-over was ridiculous. I like Mary's dorky charm on the show. But she's either playing a character or she's a complete idiot.

That pool table was ridicoulous. I don't think Mary's playing a character....she's just....quirky? I mean, she has her own business so she can't be a total moron.

I also don't see how any of the frat boys failed to see that point before buying it. The dumbfounded looks on their faces when they tried to rack up the balls, only to have them running all over the smooth surface, was hilarious.

Re: Official Storage Wars Discussion
Despite the show's incessant repetition, they never showed the premier "High Noon in the High Desert" until today. This is real cool because they are introducing the cast for the first time and way out of their characters. Hester has a little bluster but nowhere near what it is now. Barry isn't his insane self. The overall volume is just so much lower.
Only half of the show was the High Desert auction. Barry went to a separate one where he won the Suge Knight clothing. The rest was miscellareous stories. Darrell found a locker with one of the largest comic book collections ever and said if he took his time, he could have made millions.
This was very different from what we get now. Shame the show got spoiled by its success.

Wow, it's Dave before Yuuuuuuuup.
It's interesting to see how they originally conceived the show. Open a locker, identify the big ticket item inside and reveal how much said item could be worth. I can also see why that was dropped, as it would either indicate heavy editing or seeding lockers to make sure every locker had such an item to showcase.
I think they've shown parts of this episode before when they did the Q&A episode at the Sahara Casino in Vegas. Still, it's cool to see the original concept, and how it evolved into the regular show.

Just caught that "High Noon in the High Desert" episode about halfway through. I'm almost positive I've seen it before. Although it would have been a whole ago. It's certainly not one of those episodes they play over and over again.

It was the show's premiere episode, back in December 2010. Here's a Washington Post review of the episode back when it first aired:

'Storage Wars' Star Brandi Passante Sues Over 'Stalker Porn' Video
Brandi Passante, a star on A&E's Storage Wars, has launched a legal attack against Hunter Moore, a controversial porn peddler who has been featured on Anderson Cooper's talk show, Fox News and throughout the media.
Moore is best known for IsAnyoneUp.com, a website that Gawker once said was capitalizing on a new genre of erotica called "stalker porn," featuring nude cell phone pics often submitted by a subject's ex-boyfriend, alongside screenshots of the subject's Facebook profile. Last year, the website prompted Facebook to send Moore a cease-and-desist letter, and in April, his website was shut down.
But Passante says Moore hasn't quit being a pest and is now going to court for her own revenge.
Passante has filed a complaint in California federal court that alleges that after being banished by Facebook, Moore took his activities to Tumblr and Twitter.
The reality star says she discovered this two weeks ago when she began receiving messages on Twitter referring to Moore's activities. When Passante went to Moore's Tumblr site, she says she discovered someone had been portraying her in a "fabricated" pornographic video.
Passante says she's suffered anxiety, physical illness and lost sleep, and believes that the video will reach her children, friends and family.
The complaint quotes Moore in the Gawker article. Moore purportedly said, "I'm not a virgin to cease and desists. -- I get about a million a day. I don't give a f---. I'm never going to stop."
Passante is alleging violations of the Lanham Act, privacy and publicity statutes, defamation laws, consumer fraud laws and more.
She says that Moore is using her name and image and exploiting her fame from Storage Wars to "grow his infamy" and profit through the sales of hats, t-shirts and other merchandise.
The lawsuit asks for an injunction, a restraining order and all damages available.
Moore couldn't be reached for comment.

Herster's burning more bridges. Hopefully this is the end of him.
http://www.radaronline.com/exclusive...ttle-show-fake
The A&E hit show Storage Wars is at war with its star Dave Hester as claims that the show is fake have alarmed network execs, RadarOnline.com is reporting exclusively.
The showdown between the network and its reality star may result in Hester departing Storage Wars very soon, a source tells Radar. Taping for the new season of the show has started even though the cast's financial deals are not finalized.
"Dave was sent an option for the new season and then it was rescinded," the source claims. "It’s turned into a big mess and some people on the show are convinced it is all going to end up in court."
Hester is famous for his signature "Yuuuup" bid and is the breakout star of the show. But now he’s both alarmed and upset about the show’s actions.
"He was not involved in the first few days of filming even though the rest of cast was," said a source. "He thinks he may be fired."
One big issue: accusations that the show’s bidding is rigged and that items are put in some lockers to be "discovered" and add to the drama of the episode.
Part of the show’s formula is cast members taking interesting items to be appraised.
"People close to the show talk about allegations the show is fake a lot and word has gotten back to the execs," the source said.
One source claims Hester is worried he will be a target because of the complaints. And with his contract not done for the new season, he’s worried the network is singling him out.
Storage Wars has been a ratings winner for years, as the show features four professional buyers bidding on abandoned storage lockers. "But the network is more focused on some of its other hits right now," a source told Radar.
"The cast is getting squeezed financially on some issues that are related to the show and the show has not resolved, even with taping beginning."
When asked about Hester’s status and the charges of the show being faked, A&E told Radar: "We have no comment."

A&E execs were surprised to hear allegations that the show is faked? Yeah right, and Captain Renault was surprised to find gambling at Rick's cafe.

Even if Dave gets fired, what would prevent him from going to auctions and still bidding. Unless the show is 100% fake that is.

Nothing. He just wouldn't get screen time or a paycheck for being there. I'm guessing that most (all?) of these people now rely on their paycheck to be at these auctions, not just the profit they may make from buying them.

Barry wasn't. The others could possibly get by, but Brandi and Jarrod expanded their store, possibly based on their money from the show, so hopefully they haven't overextended their business.
