Does Dark Skies count? I forget how long it was actually on the air.

As slow as it was, I actually really liked Rubicon and was disappointed when it wasn't renewed.

I liked Now and Again, but come to think of it, I'm glad it got cancelled, otherwise Dennis Haysbert would have never played David Palmer on 24 a year later.

Best? I can't go that far, but I had a blast watching Fastlane. Such a fun show. Great popcorn.
And a show that I feel should be in the discussion as one of the "great" scifi shows in tv history -- Space Above and Beyond. It isn't Star Trek, Babylon 5, X-Files, or Battlestar Gallactica, but I think it is on the rung just below those shows.

D'OH! I forgot about "Keen Eddie" - that was a good one.
Most of these shows probably would have started to suck if they did last longer, so in a way, it's good that they died young and left a good-looking corpse.

Ahhh, fuck. I forgot about Touching Evil. Jeffrey Donovan and Vera Farmiga were both awesome in that show.

Yeah I really liked that show too. Noone knew who the fuck Donovan was back then. The show got more publicity because it was produced by Bruce Willis and the Hughes Brothers. I believe that was way before USA really started developing more scripted shows.

Re: Best ONE Season Show ever ?
The best one ever for me was Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. Aaron Sorkin made a terrific show that only gets better on repeat viewings. Oddly enough, I used to think that the "Nevada Day" two-parter was the worst episode until I saw it two more times and realized how good it really was. Now, I don't think there's a bad episode in that whole show's history. And it's one of the few shows I own on DVD that I'll never get rid of (as long as they don't bring it on Blu-Ray of course).
But I can't believe I forgot about WEBriot. MTV cancelled that one too soon, but it was never all that popular. I remember that it used to air after TRL back when I was into it and it would get pre-empted a lot. It was sad. That one was fun.
Profit was the only other one that was truly great. I think Fox was stupid to not have the balls to keep that one running. It was a great show!
