This guy said he felt the show would have succeded on pay cable television where it would have been allowed to feature nudity. Is it that odd a suggestion? It is a show about the Playboy Club! And yet he’s branded a pervert for it. I suspect that if had signaled himself out to be a member of the tea party, he would have been regaled for his comments. So no joke here sir.

Did you read his post? He never said anything about it possibly succeeding on pay cable. He specifically said he was expecting naked chicks and lots of sex not some "Boring period drama" His expectations were ridiculous because the show was developed as a network drama. Maybe calling him a perv was a little overboard.

And I'm not a prude, I'm all for creativity that includes sex, nudity and gore. I subscribe to Cinemax and I love Strike Back, which includes that and more. If he wants lots of sex and nudity, he should subscribe to a premium cable channel or download the millions of porn clips on the Internet and not complain about a Network TV show.

For the record, when I was in Sydney, the softcore porn was shown on Over the Air TV, not cable.

I get that Australians are probably getting a bad rap in part because of Arnold Schwarzenegger's shananigans, but certainly we can agree that Europeans have a different sense of sexuality than Americans.

Yeah and even though The Playboy Club had no sex and nudity, the brand name of "Playboy" is synonomous with Nudity and that's why so many groups like te PTC had a problem with it and sponsors were pulling out. Shows cannot survive on over the air free TV without sponsors.
