They won't pull the plug this year...if they pull the plug it will be after all the episodes have aired. Since the run ends in December anyway, they'll have a good deal of time to decide if it comes back - they'll even have time to see how it sells on DVD/Blu-ray.

Yup, moist of the costs are into the production sets etc. So I am hoping that they know that there is a big chance they wont come back for season 2..that they kind of wrap it enough to be satisfying..but leave it open for a return.

Was it just me or was that like a filler episode? They set up a pretty awesome concept in the first episode, complete with a "Lost-like" mystery on the "Others" and they failed to move any of it forward to give us an episode of bird like reptiles wanting to fuck?

They really better pick up the pace fast or I am out.

Assuming they were happy with the premier numbers.

Its premiere numbers were bad, were they not?

And I'm out.

I half watched this episode and it just bored the hell out of me. I just don't dig on 99% of network TV, and this show won't be an exception. I tried, but the writing is terrible, the CGI is terrible and they're never going to get a second season, so this one should've had a better story to keep people hooked. I never thought I'd bail on something with dinosaurs in it, but, here we are.

No they weren't bad, but they weren't as high as they were hoping.

Exactly...Terra Nova is pulling in about what Glee is. Very decent-sized audience, but not one that justify spending the ton of money that FOX is on this show. If it DOES get renewed, expect major budget cuts.

Am I the only one who thinks this show would be MUCH more exciting if the camp burned to the ground and the survivors were forced to survive out in the wild? Really, the only reason to keep them in that camp is becuase FOX spent a ton of money building it...not because it advances the story in any meaningful or entertaining way.

I'll keep watching and give it a chance.

Lots of loose ends, details not explained but given the absolute lack of anything else on lately that I am interested in, I'll see where it goes

Id like to see some concurrent stoylines in the future as well

The show is ok, but disappointing

Characters are a bit disappointing

The youngest daughter is the best actor in the whole show !

How realistic would it be for people (regardless of how well armed and supplied they are) to survive in a Jurassic age environment without a heavily fortified permanent settlement?

IMO, That would be an even bigger mistake than the basic premise of the show... which has left us with some mystery about what is really going on.

Are the settlers really in an "alternate" timeline, as they have been told?

At least in Glee's case, they make money off CDs, merchandising, overseas and, of course, it's near syndication.

Still have both episodes DVRed. Someday. Maybe.

Finally saw this ep and thought it was okay. The son was less annoying than last week, so that was nice. What is it with these people and not shooting the goddamn dinosaurs?? Same thing as last week. "Let's throw a rock or drive them off with sonic weapons." Ok. Or maybe just fucking shoot them?! Anyway, enough good stuff to make me keep watching.
