Sorry AD DVDs, you have served me well but you are now obsolete.
I compared both last night and the difference is small.

That's called an "illusion."

Not true, the difference is from DVD to HD. HD > DVD. Huge difference and noticeable.

Thanks for the tip as I was unsure there was a difference between a dvd and hd.

But just because something is labeled HD does not mean you are getting a full bitrate dedicated to the picture. In this case, you aren't. The difference between the HD streaming versions of AD and the upconverted DVD's is smalll. A difference and noticeable, but small. Many dvds and their blu or hd counterparts do not have a huge difference because of the effort and mastering.

There is a difference.

I'm going to rematch the entire series on Netflix shortly. I sold my DVDs off a year back because the Netflix versions were better.

Wow, brilliant.

As it is obvious to anyone but you and since it was what was being discussed I was referring to the DVDs and HD NF versions of the show.

But a difference. I'd take instant loading and not having to switch discs a huge plus.

Agreed. But expectations should be tempered for people who think it is going to be some new blu-like experience of a series we have all seen many times over. I compared it in a dark environment with best tv possible and unfortunately slight.

Regardless, hopefully all parties will cooperate so we can have a full blu set after the Netflix release window is over.

Only a few more weeks.

In surprised Fox hasn't already released the Series in Blu-ray. It would be the first show Id buy in a long time.

John Krasinski‘s first post-Office “TV” gig has been revealed.

After clocking out of the NBC series, the actor will make a cameo in the new season of Arrested Development, debuting May 26 on Netflix, reports EW.com.

No details about his guest spot are available yet.

Re: New Arrested Development episodes in the works

This wait is killing me. It has been a long, long 7 years. I can't even believe that I have to type out that it has been that long. It sure doesn't seem like it.

Some info from someone else who went. There aren't any spoilers (thank God), but instead just general impressions and details...

And here are a bunch of pictures from the premiere...

Check out the AD page on Netflix now...

There are no new videos or trailers or whatever, but still. Just go see.

Do you mean the image of them in a storage canister? Or something else?

Yes, and it says the date and everything up top. Then scroll all the way down to the bottom to the cast picture, then click on each cast member, then scroll through for each one.

Is it on Comcast? If so, under what category?

Re: New Arrested Development episodes in the works

I want to see how the shipping container is worked in. That's it's second appearance. With the Bluths be smuggling something?

I'm excited about this. Looking forward to this more than any summer movie.
