Looking at NBC's schedule, I think part of the reason is NBC giving up on scripted on Mondays from 8-10pm for the Fall. Every scripted show those hours failed last Fall in the ratings (Chuck, The Event and The Cape) They are using that timeslot for 2 hours a week for The Sing-Off. Then The Biggest Loser eats up 8-10pm on Tuesdays.

The Sing-Off will probably end it's season this Winter, so I think Awake could take a Monday at 9pm timeslot come early 2012.

Just watched a "preair" of Revenge. Wasn't expecting much but I was pleasantly surprised -- definitely on board. It's as soap-opera-y as I thought it would be but the acting is top notch, it has interesting characters, and the premise is addictive. Not sure how they go beyond one season with this though; might have worked better as a mini-series.

Yeah, if it wasn't for Emily Van Camp I probably wouldn't even bother checking it out. However, I did find out that Nick Weshler will be in it as well (he used to on Roswell) so my interest is piqued a bit more.

I'll all in for American Horror Story and Alcatraz mid-season. Everything else is doa for me. I don't think i've added a new show aside from Wilfred in the last two years.

I would add to my votes Awake and Alcatraz.

Once upon a time (I'm a sucker for classic stories)
The Secret Circle (Mostly because of it's connection w/ Kevin Williamson and the Cast)
Terra Nova (Gotta see if it's a trainwreck or fantastic)
Heart of Dixie (closest thing I think I'll see to having 'Gilmore girls' back on TV)

Because of the merger w/ Comcast NBC is still in transition and with the combination of allowing more reality/sports with wanting to see how establish shows hold up in the new season is making NBC hold back both of their more promising pilots (Smash and Awake) for midseason to have a strong comeback after (assuming) they cancel the shows that were dragging.

Personally I think it's a strong move as people will be looking for something new to watch when various reality shows end or fall premier shows are canceled.

American Horror Story looks like it could be interesting so I'll probably add that to the DVR. The Playboy Club looks kind of good too but I typically don't get into many of the CBS/NBC/ABC shows so I don't know if I'll watch much of it.

I would like to be watching Chicago Code but FOX loves fake competition shows too much
